East Tianshan area is an important metallogenic belt of nonferrous metal and precious metal, and also one of the sixteen important metallogenic regions of non-fuel mineral resources in China. There has complete stratum, multiform sedimentary formations, complicated geologic structure, frequent magmatic activities, obvious metamorphosis, long metallogenic history and ascendant mineralization condition. But, it also has relatively lower working density. The exploration breakthroughs have been made in recent National Land and Resources Survey. Tuwu-Yandong porphyry copper deposit and Pobei copper-nickel sulfide deposit, for instance have been found, which foreshows great potential in this area.Based on mineralization series Theory, which proposed by academician Chen Yuchuan, the multi-information mineral resources assessment method has been used to predict the unfound recourses of copper, nickel and gold in east Tianshan area. During the research, the all-sided data of geologic, deposits(occurrences), geophysical, geochemical and remote sense have been synthetically analyzed again.Individual databases of mineral resources, geochemical, geophysical, Placer, remote sensing, geographic information, DEM and others have been integrated into one integrative database, which established foundation for target areas delineating and resources estimating. In this paper, metallotectonic environment, era and process of several typical deposits (Tuwu porphyry copper deposit, Huangshan copper-nickel deposit, Kangguertage gold deposit, etc.) were studied, of which the describe models and prospecting models have been established.About porphyry copper related to medium-acidic intrudes near active continental margin (Tuwu style), 85 optimal prospective areas were selected out with 10 of class A, 26 of Class B and 49 of Class C. Total resource is 32.6461 Mt (estimated by areal productivity method) or 31.0358Mt (estimated by grade-tonnage Monte Carlo Simulation method)About sulfide copper, nickel (platinum, gold) deposits related to basic-ultrabasic rocks (Huangshan style), 226 optimal prospective areas were selected out with 11 of class A, 88 of Class B and 137 of Class C. Total resource of copper of this style is 2.5152 Mt (estimated by areal productivity method) or 0.7179 Mt (estimated by grade-tonnage Monte Carlo Simulation method).About gold deposits related to alternation rock in ductile shear zone (Kangguertage style), 175 optimal prospective areas were selected out with 10 of class A, 36 of Class B and 129 of Class C. Total resource is 255.49 ton (estimated by areal productivity method).Improvement of areal productivity method has been made in this thesis. The author proposed that the lower limit of geochemical anomaly should be determined individually according to the geological structure and formation distribution. Experiment was made on how to estimate the number of undiscovered deposits in lower working density area, and certain result was achieved.Field works were done in 6 target areas to verify the effect of the assessment method. Two of them were approved deserve further exploration.A pilot study was launched during field work which showed that properly use of portable instruments of geophysical and geochemical will shorten the prospecting cycle distinctively.
