Guilaizhuang area lies in the west of Yishu fault belt southern region, the southeastof Luxi (West Shandong) block uplift region, the joint of Nishan dip andPingyi-Fangcheng depression. A large gold deposit was found in this area in1987,achieving great breakthrough in gold prospecting field in Luxi zone. Thereafter, a largeamount of geological prospecting work was taken in this area. There also found somesmall deposits, but it never achieved new breakthrough. Though the geologicalexploration degree of Guilaizhuang region is high, the metallogenic prediction researchis still weak. In order to guide gold deposits exploration, improve ore-prospecting work,and achieve the second breakthrough as soon as possible, it’s necessary to carry out thecomprehensive information metallogenic prediction research in this area.This study is based on data collection and analysis to establish geological,geophysical and geochemical database, using GIS technology to analysis therelationship between geological information and the known deposits, extract theore-forming information, establish prospecting marks, construct the forecasting model,and finally check the metallogenic prediction in the target area.The main achievementswe have obtained as follows.(1) Establishing the prediction mode of the gold deposit in Guilaizhuang area:○1The metallogenic rock mass and the Cambrian, Ordovician carbonate with the invasionof the contact is the favorable mineralization position.○2The inside ofmonzonite-porphyry and the zero to three kilometers away from the outside contactzone is the favorable mineralization-zone.○3The main fracture——YanGan fracturederivative of the NW, NNW, NE and the linear structure to EW are the obviousore-controlling role. The surrounding range from0to1.2kilometers is also thefavorable mineralization-location. The intersection of NE and EW fracture is morefavorable to the emplacement of mineralized rock and existing of gold ore body.○4Theclosely associated with gold mineralization element geochemical anomalies are Cu, Ag,Zn, Pb, As, Te etc.As with Au, Ag, Te are more closely.○5The high positive to the highnegative abnormal area of the gravity in the transitional zone is the favourableprospecting area.○6The low positive and the low negative abnormal magnetic in this zone is also the favourable prospecting area.○7The higher anomalies of energyspectrum can guide the concealed ore deposits.(2) Delineated three levels predicting target, including four Ⅰ level predictingtargets: Guilaizhuang-Zengjiazhuang target, Shangmaoyu village north target,Dapinganzhuang southwest target, Shangmaoyu village southeast target; eight Ⅱ levelpredicting targets: Heqizhuang-Dapinganzhuang target etc.; and five Ⅲ levelpredicting targets: Tongshi-Shangmaoyu target etc.(3) Launched fieldwork verification in the part of the targets. During this process,Dapinganzhuang east and Maoyucun east gold points with the value of furtherinvestigation In the Ⅰ level predicting targets and Ⅱ level predicting targetsseparately have been found.(4) According to results of orebody target forecasting, Lunan GeologicalEngineering Exploration Institute of Shandong province started verification of drillingengineering in south500~700m of main orebody of Guilaizhuang gold mine wherebelong to M1of the Ⅰ level predicting target, and discovery gold orebody at greatdepth.
