As a big media power under democratic system, Japan takes lead in share of voice, media coverage and influence in Asia and the world. In the news spreading activities, Japanese press claims to stand for the spirit of press freedom, the principles of objectivity and fairness in news reporting due to the influence of the Western journalistic values. The Japanese press makes full use of international communication skills and methods to beautify the wars of aggression and distort the historical facts, give bombing reports on Chinese negative information, exaggerate the problems China facing during its social and economic development, render the allegations of China Threat, manufacture the demonization of China, and incite the anti-China sentiment in Japan. The long lasting homogeneity of negative China-related reports by Japanese media directly affected the Sino-Japanese public opinions and mutual recognitions, damaged the international image of China, shaked the foundations of the mutual economic and trade cooperation, prevented the healthy development of bilateral relations and ultimately affected the long-term interests of the two countries.The reason why Japanese press interested in the negative homogeneous reports of China is the blending of various factors in its ecological environment of its survival and development. It is the co-function of Japan's humanistic geography environment, social and cultural traditions, the Sino-Japanes historical enmities, different political systems and operational mechanism, the state interests and economic developing needs, the transformation and characteristics of Japanese media, the spirits and modes of news spreading and the needs of media's survival and development. Especially the idea of unification of the Emperor, the long-term mutual misunderstanding, the strict regulations and press control by Japanese government, the popularity of National Interests, the tradition of Groupism, the conservative Political environment, the increasing profit drive under competitions, the formation and maintainance of Japanese media monopoly and the influence of the unique Press Club. All the profound factors influenced and led to the negative homogeneous China-related reports by Japanese press.China and Japan are neighbours with more than a-thousand-year bilateral exchanges history. It has been proved that the two countries would both benefit in peace and loose in struggle. Therefore we should face up to the tendency of China-related reports by Japanese media rationally. On the other side we should also examine ourselves about Japan-related reports. We should analyze the factors of spreading and influencing the environment, strengthen all-round exchanges and mutual trust, avoid and change the stereotying and prejudice, enhance mutual consensus and understanding, promote the reconstruction of Japanese media and its ecological opinion environment. At the same time, we should stand on the top of the international politics and communications, strengthen and improve the effect of Chinese news spreading to Japan, seize the commanding heights of discourse power on major international issues, establish an open-minded, friendly and civilized image of China and build the international public opinion environment which benefiting the development of China.
