In this digitized new world China television industry keeps getting the pressure from the new integrated attracting media like internet. Although the television system has its own migration path, the energetic and profitable internet entertaining industry helps to increase the speed of television's transforming to next generation in another sense.Nowadays China television is taking its pace on entering the content transportation channels market, developing innovative profitable commerce pattern and expanding the TV programs. With the rapid industry development in the next 5 to 10 years, it is obvious that China television industry is going to become a very huge market which may create hundreds of billions of RMB revenues. On this developing road the significant changes will be observed as following.●Content aspectThe target audiences will be definitely classified. The content will be sent to the ones who are really interested in. Broadcasting is no more blind, instead it is going to be a more efficient and profitable way. Every piece of content makes the best value as it always satisfies peoples' need.●Operation pattern aspectContents and channels are no longer the binding. Programs will be gradually taken out to be a standalone stuff. In the long run channels may end its life cause every program is becoming an independent channel, which making the VOD (Video on demand) come to our lives. People can finally watch what they really want and filter the rest.●Present platform aspectThe present platform is no longer based on the wireless radio signals. For example, people will not only get the broadcasting programs, but also communicate with friends, play games, internet surfing etc. The platform might be a family entertaining online portal which brings significant values to the television industry.●TV terminals aspectTerminals are no longer a big box or even an LCD on the wall. The mobility trend is getting on everything. So in the very near future they could be anything anywhere. Thus, it definitely increase the time that people watch TV. ●Commerce pattern aspectCommerce pattern will be also changed based on the above four aspects.While all the above changes might not be done very quickly, the development road still has a long way to go. This thesis is aiming to discuss the importance of the development of China digital television and the distance between the present situation and its destination. Also, it demonstrates the milestones in the developing path and achievements of China digital television upon the progress. By analyzing the digital television development experiences across the world, this thesis gives a prediction of china's digital television accomplishments in 2010 and for the far future it also contribute a deep thinking and gives the associated suggestions.This paper is composed of nine chapters.The first chapter demonstrates the definition of digital television, and illustrates the influences brought by it to China and the world, especially to the human life style revolution.The second chapter to the 7th chapter analyzes the mile stone, experiences, cases and data charts of the development of digital television in China, and tends to find the interior discipline.The 8th chapter abstracts the experiences of the development of digital television across the world, and focus on the mile stones and markable events, to which, comparing with china's development.The 9th chapter is the one looking into the future. It provides a prediction of the timeline of the development of China's digital television when facing 2015.It gets the conclusion based on the above chapters research.
