With the rapid development of science and technology, researches about robots are moving forward with leaps and bounds. There are two directions for developing robots. On the one hand robots (which are called androids) have the characters of human appearances, can walk just like we do and do some basic operations. On the other hand personal robots are becoming hotspots of researches and developments. With the development of science and economy as well as the improvement of people's living conditions, robots are gradually entering people's everyday life while they can offer many kinds of services, amuse people and even communicate with there owners. Robots should not barely have intelligence (intelligent robots), they should also have emotions, characters, volitions, creativities and so on (emotional robots). Maybe we can even make robots evolve automatically both intelligently and emotionally (evolution robots). To endow robots with the capability of emotion communicating has become a hotspot during the development of modern robot technology. Robots have to be endowed with capabilities of recognizing, comprehending, possessing and even expressing emotions in order to communicate with humans, which means that they have real intelligence.This paper is based on the theory and technology of artificial intelligence. It is mainly about how to build the affective model of artificial psychology with some related techniques of personal robots. This paper presents how to build the software and hardware platform of personal robots by mathematical simulation and physically realization in order to simulate the changing process of human emotions and affections and related behaviors. This paper builds the theory foundation for the research of personal robots'application.The main contents and creative points of this paper are as follows:(1)The presence of the concept of affective energy and the establishment of the frame model of affective energy distributing space. Basing on the three kinds of expressions of psychology energy this paper proposes the conception of emotional energy and defines some related parameters for expressing emotions. This paper builds the mathematical expressing methods of the distributing structure of affective energy and the affective energy distributing equation according as the affective energy conservation law. The conception of probability distributing is introduced by further study of absolute or relative affective energy distributing space. Finally it transforms the relative affective energy distributing space into another equivalent mode: the affective probability space model. This paper proposes the standards for classifying emotions and four changing modes of emotions according to the emotion energy.(2)The presence of the Markov chain model and algorithms of emotion transferring spontaneously.After the introduction of Markov chain, some basic equations, characters of transfer matrix and some related theorems, this paper builds the Markov equation to describe the Markov chain model of emotion transferring spontaneously. It focuses on ascertaining the transfer matrix and the algorithms.(3)The presence of the HMM model and algorithms of emotion transferring stimulated. Basing on the conception of HMM this paper defines the psychology energy about emotion and studies the building methods of stimulating matrix and stimulating transferring matrix A? . With the help of forward and backward HMM algorithms it derives the algorithms to calculate p i(T), which considers influences of stimulations (type, intensity) of outside emotion information, current emotion state and emotion character.Besides, on the basis of these emotion models this paper builds the simulation platform with MATLAB. The platform is used to study the changing rules of those emotion models and to probe into the functions of some related parameters, psychology meaning and choosing methods. It also gives reasonable explanations of related simulation curves and results from the angle of psychology.The research and developing platform for personal robots is studied and built. This paper introduces the compositive structure, the hardware structure of control system and software delamination structure of this robot system. According as the recognizing theory of emotions it proposes the software delamination structure, whose decision-making layer should contains recognizing comparator, calculation of emotion transferring stimulated and decision-making of emotion and behavior. In the end this paper concludes the production and existing problems of the research and points out what further jobs should be done in the future.
