Hmm-based Emotion Model In Counseling Expert Systems Research

The research of this paper is supported by the key science program of Beijing Education Committee and by the key program of the natural science foundation of Beijing.Cognitive Science and Artifical Intelligent pay special attention to the research of emotion for many years,but still have not find a good way to completely solve the problem.To make computers have comprehensive intelligence and implement harmonious human-computer interaction,the key issue is to make computers to be adaptable to human affection.In this paper,we realize an affective human-computer interaction system,also we research its application in expert system of psychological consultation.The system get the outside stimulate signal by the text message,the facial expression message and voice identify message.It conclude the affective results according to the affective model based HMM.In this paper,the main achievements are summarized as follows:1.Building the emotion model based HMM.The Baum-Welch method of HMM finishes the parameter estimating of transfer matrix of emotion transfer and the prabability vector of the different expression outputing based the different mood states.In the process of building the emotion model,this paper gives the definition of emotion entropy.Emotion entropy is the standard messure of human emotion stability.As one of the restrict condition,we bulid the original states transfering matrix of emotion model.Emotion entropy provides a mensurable computer method for the character of the model.2.Researching the application in expert system of the emotion model based HMM.We get the emotion message by identifing the text message,the facial expression character and voice messge.We take the emotion message as the outside stimulate message,and put it to HMM.Applicating the the focus theory of artifical intelligence,quantify the emotion message confered by HMM emotion model.Send the quantify message to the knowledge database of expert system.This provides a emotion evidence for the reasoning machine.It can guide the consulation strategy more effective.This paper designs the expert system added the emotion model based this idea. 3.Simulating the buliding emotion model use the tool of Matlab.The experimentation indicates that the emotion response trend and the emotion entropy transformative trend is consistent with human emotion action.So this method is feasible.We finish an affective human-computer interaction system based the HMM model.At last,we test it.In the future,we should discuss the combining of the emotion model and the expert system of psychology consultation more,and do more in-depth research in fetching the outside stimulate message and in the expert system of psychology consultation adding the HMM.
