Study Of Research Content, Theoretical Paradigm And Disciplinary System On Information Sociology

At present, information development is growing progressively in most country all over the world and people gain more understanding about information society, various social issues related to information technical revolution are coming out constantly at the same time. Therefore, a new subject about research of informationization and rule of information sociology development has come to the attention by scholars who have relevant research experiences. Many relevant research results have established the foundation for information sociology, such as library and information science, sociology, management science, information economics, and information law, etc. It is a very important theory subject to find out how to use these results to build an information sociology discipline system which accords with the current requirement.This thesis will start at the research of information sociology, summarizes the representative literatures of information society and deeply analyses the information relations between information activities, information culture and nation & citizen. Then, put forward a new theoretical paradigm and construct the sociology discipline system frame of information sociology. The main points are:The first, studying the existing theory of information sociology systemically, it has summarizes three major theory schools of information sociology, and it has specially carried on the deep research on the estimating school of the information society represented by Machlup and Porat, on the information social structure school represented by Bell and Toffler and on the social conflict school of information-intensive society represented by Castells and Touraine.The second, analysis the information communication problems of the public area in the institutions and companies and studying the typical form in the social information communication, it has proposed the typical chain from author to reader. It has studied the development of information market under the effect of information technology. The paper also has studied the development history of international communication industry and Silicon Valley, U.S.A., constructed the space distribution mode picture of information industry. At last, it has introduces the construction European Union's information society and the world summit of information society.The third, through investigating meaning and development of culture and information culture, it has defined the information culture as the total of information carrier, information values and information life style that certain nationality, colony, the society creates, and it is the major culture of the information society, and it proposes the core of information culture is information accomplishment and information ethics idea. It divides information culture into six types as information accomplishment culture, information carrier culture, information consumption culture, virtual community's culture, enterprise's knowledge culture, information ethics culture and it has proposed the key five surface elements of information culture, that is, key element of the spiritual idea, key element of the language and the symbol, the key element of the standardizing system, the key element of social relationships, social organization, and physical product. The paper studied the information accomplishment culture deeply and argues the relations between information accomplishment and learning society.The fourth, there are four kinds of relations in the information-intensive society among the information, country and citizen. Information is protected in the form of intellectual property right by the country as a kind of property, and citizens can use information through buying or being allowed to. Country gives the legal protection to the citizen's personal data information to prevent abusing illegally and country will open the government's information through legislating enabling citizens to generally use government's information resources; and country prevents relevant information from spreading to the citizen because of security, morals or political reasons.The fifth, on the basis of studying the normal form theory and information sociology normal form concept, it has carried on the research on the representative foreign and domestic information sociology works, and has proposed five factors normal form of information sociology based on information science of the books: Activity factor of social information; Infrastructure factor of social information; Information interchange, market and factor of publishing; Factor of cultural factor of information and information, factors of country and citizen.The sixth, the paper analyses the theoretical system of foreign and domestic information sociology comparatively. In the foreign aspect, it has studied the theoretical system of the Castells, U.S.A. titled as"The information age: Economy, society and culture"and Professor Feather, England titled as"The information society: A study of continuity and change"; And on the theories normal form of four kinds of domestic information sociology works, it has analysis the theoretical system by the content analysis method.Seventhly, analysis of the research objective, research task and academic basis about information sociology to propose the point, which social information activities is the main research objective. There are two tasks currently: analyses of any social problems are occurred from construction of information society, analyses of how to perfect and richness the academic research content and system. It proposed that the information sociology architecture should follow discipline of unity, compensative, continuous development and creation. Build the theoretical structure based on the structure of sociology system, the basic theory and the applied theory of information sociology, then build up the sociology discipline system frame of information sociology.The last chapter is the summary and the research prospect; it also indicated the further research direction of the information sociology.
