Laser machining is important in industry manufacturing. Virtual prototyping is an advanced design method to reduce the design mistake and improve design efficiency. In the field of virtual prototype, this dissertation focused on virtual prototype of High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser in order to solve the urgent bottleneck problems in engineering, such as improving laser quality, reducing development time and cost. At the same time, it can rich the connotation of virtual prototype and its application technology. Following are the main study contents and achievements:(1) The present researches, development trends and problems about virtual prototyping and High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser design technology at home and abroad were comprehensively analyzed. From the view of production lifetime cycle, the concepts of special virtual prototype and general virtual prototype were given. On this base, the dissertation compared virtual prototyping with congener technologies. After analyzing and summarizing several schemes of historical virtual prototype, the system framework of High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser virtual prototype was given.(2) A virtual prototype design method, which integrated parametric technology in prototype modeling and simulating technology for key properties, was put forward. On the base of this method, the prototype of High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser was gotten.(3) Both Finite Element Analysis and interpolation simulation were used to simulate temperature field in two parts of High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser, way of flowing gas and resonator. The temperature distribution gTaphs in the two parts were gotten. On the basis of analyzing the simulating result, structure optimized plan was put forward for the way of flowing gas. Through building mathematics model for radiator system and dispersing it, the temperature translating process was simulated in High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser.(4) A deciding method was put forward which introduce the theory of similarity engineering to decide the design scheme of High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser. It's demonstrated that the virtual prototype was more reasonable than physical prototype in High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser. For virtual prototype of High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser, a comprehensive evaluation method was put forward in order to evaluating the reliable degree between virtual prototype and design scheme. With the idea of software engineering, the evaluation system was built.(5) After analyzing information integration methods, a new idea and method with virtual prototype as carrier was put forward. It was used in designing High Power Crosscurrent CO2 Laser.Practice showed that achievements in this dissertation were feasible and effective.
