The research of laser-fusion is one of the international great-science items. This research is interrelated with the defence and energy stratagem of a country. The main countries of the world spend a mass of resource (money and manpower) on this research. Take U.S.A for example, hundreds of dollars and even more abundant of manpower resource has been spent on this research during the past thirty years. U.S.A has plan to spend eleven hundred million dollars to build a great high-power laser setting of 192 routes of laser which is named NIFThe basic theory of laser-fusion is firstly brought forward by Wang Ganchang academician in 1964. The research level of China in this field is one-up in the world. Now, thirty hundreds million Yuan has been spent to actualize the "supernatural light III" project in our country, and at the same time put up the research of the simulation of high-power laser drivers. This research item is the one of the results on this item.We can see the importance of this research item from the attitude of the American experts to it. American have research it for about tens of years and averagely spent about eight million dollars every year. When sum up this research item in 2000, a conclusion is drawn: the money spent on it is too few.This research item is the subtask of national 863 tasks, and the serial number is 863-416-1.2.The purpose of this research item is to use science visualization technology, simulation technology, and VR technology to validate and correct the theory prototype on the flat roof of computers, train technology personnel on this flat and do some parts of substitute experiment. This can consequently save a great lot of money and time.The research of this item can be separated into three steps: science visualizing, the dynamical simulation of the collectivity design of system and VR. Science visualizing is to display result on 3-D data field using visualizing technology. It consist of simulation of logic layout, the after-treat and alternation-treat of result.This process is an import gist of collectivity design. Dynamical simulation simulate the running scene of system using graph and image technology, and mainly used to demo and training. VR is to drill the layout of laser component during the designing period to offer gist for the designing of laser components and the system, and during the running time, to provide means for training and substitutive experiments through VR scene.In 2000 Jun, WHUTIMCRI(WuHan University of Techonology Intelligent Manufacture and Control Research Institute) set up cooperative relationship with HNNUTOL(HuaNan Normal University Transmission Optics laboratory), spend abundance scientific researching resource and gain some production. The research fruit of this item rest with three points: one is that having complete the system design of the simulation system of high-power laser driver; the second is that having complete the design and development of logic layout simulation and science visualizing system, and complete the mathematics modeling and component modeling of laser components. And the last is that having complete the primary research of distribute interactive simulation(DIS) and virtual reality(VR), set up the basic model and realize some of these models.Essentially, the purpose of this item is to develop a software system that server the special requirements of high-power laser driver. To develop a software system with good robust and maintainability, the rule of software engineering must be followed during the process of the development of software system. During the development of this system, the author follow the rule of software development , finished the collectivity design and the software modeling based on Rose-UML.Rational Rose which is developed by Rational company is a good CASE(Computer Aided Software Engineering) tool based on UML at present.
