The application of the Virtual Prototype for design the High Power TF CO2 laser can shorten the circle of manufacture, improve the quality of the laser, reduce the manufacture cost of the laser, and boost up the market competitive ability of the manufacture enterprise of High Power TF CO2 laser. The similarity degree between the Virtual Prototype of the High Power TF CO2 laser and the design requirement of the laser will determine the implement degree of design requirement. Therefore, it is practical for study on the evaluation of the Virtual Prototype of the High Power TF CO2 laser.First of all, this paper analyzes the condition of the Virtual Prototype of the High Power TF CO2 laser and other technologies on it. And the necessity of studying the evaluation of the Virtual Prototype of the High Power TF CO2 laser is proven.Based on studying on the structure, the working capability and the virtual prototype of the High Power TF CO2 laser, its evaluation system of the virtual prototype is designed according to the design criterion of the High Power TF CO2 laser. And the method of the synthetic evaluation theory is applied to make those indexes numerical. Meanwhile, in light of the importance of every index in the evaluation process, their power coefficients are confirmed.By applying the similarity theory to the evaluation of the Virtual Prototype, the difference can be shown between the Virtual Prototype and the design requirement. Accordingly, in this paper theory of the similarity is associated with the evaluation theory. By constructing similarity elements, the similarity degree can be computed between the design criterion of the High Power TF CO2 laser and it Virtual Prototype. The similarity method of the evaluation of the High Power TF CO2 is shown.In this paper the software requirement of the evaluation of the High Power TF CO2 laser is analyzed with the Object Oriented software engineering method. And the use-case diagram, state diagram and class diagram are used in UML diagram, which describe the software model from its function, logic and static structure. And the main arithmetic is shown. During the detail design process the COM component technology is applied to envelop the logical part, hence to update and improve the software; The software system of evaluation of the Virtual Prototype of the High Power TF CO2 laser is developed.
