Computer integrated process system (CIPS) is the direction of petrochemical enterprise automation. It utilizes the technologies of computer science, communication, automation and others related to production and management, based on the integration of information from production and business process, all applications of enterprise are integrated to improve the profit and the competition in the market. The dissertation studies and discusses in detail on the demand of platform for basic information integration, its structure and implementation of related software applications in view of engineering for CIPS. The main works are as follows:1.A survey on computer integrated process manufacturing architecture and some key techniques in respect of CIPS, the existing problems are also discussed.2.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the basis data integration in petrochemical enterprise, the structure of the uniform platform for basic data integration is proposed, whose kernel is the information model of basic data, and then the construction of the information model for CIPS is presented. The support of the platform for applications is also discussed.3.For a refinery, the CIPS based on the platform of basic data is introduced and the strategy of system implementation is described.4.From the opinion of the experiences of engineering, the existing problems of data reconciliation system in CIPS are discussed, and then the new methods for system design and implementation based on the platform are proposed.5.A management information system for measurement data in petrochemical enterprise is presented, whose implementations use methodology of the platform.6.Following the introduction of design and implementation of an intelligent controller and model-based controller, the new architecture based on the platform for computer-aided-design and performance assessment of advanced process control system is given.The dissertation concludes with a summary and prospects of future CIPS researches.
