Theoretical And Practical Studies On Information Resources Management On The Internet Business

The two main topics of the development of the modern era are economy and information technology (IT), and matching with the time is a strong sound of the age conforming to the objective laws of the development of the human society. The networks economy progressing with a highly speed, led by IT, undulates a new hot upsurge of economy. The new economy based on knowledge is believed to promote the thorough study of the theory and practice of information resources management (IRM). The subject selection of this dissertation is just based on the two considerations: firstly, the quickly developments of the IT and Internet has made the connotation of information management getting abundant and secondly, the practice of electronic business and the arising of electronic economics have set up a claim for the IRM on the Internet.The dissertation studies the issues of information organization, information retrieval, and the exploitation, utilization and services of information resources (IR) in the IRM on the Internet business from practices to theory. The dissertation is divided into 6 chapters. The fundamental theory of the IRM on the Internet business is discussed in chapter 1 to chapter 3. The practice of the IRM on the Internet business and a few main financial websites are probed. A model of the system of the IRM on the Internet business is constructed and some suggestions are put forward in chapter 4 to chapter 6. The main contents of each chapter are as following.As introductory remarks, chapter 1 discusses the background and foundation of the subject selection, and relates the purposes, significance and innovation of the dissertation; based on the study of fundamental theory of the IRM, chapter 2 discusses the concept and characteristics of the IRM on the Internet business; chapter 3 advances a theory that the IRM on the Internet business is a sub-subject of IRM based on the theory of information sciences, IRM, knowledge management and networks economics, etc.; hi chapter 4, the types of the IR on the Internet business are distinguished, and the distribution of them in the main financial websites is discussed, centering on the structure and characteristics of financial information resources on the Internet, and evaluation of the IR on the Internet business; in chapter 5, the structure of the IR of three financial websites, including the Dowj ones financial website, the Forbes financial website and the Homeway financial website are reviewed, and the development of the Chinese financial websites (companies) is studied; chapter 6 gives out a model of constructing a system of the IRM on the Internet business and put forward.The focus of attention of the dissertation is exploitation and utilization of theIRM on the Internet business, trying to sum up the commonness of the IR of the Internet business in the exploitive practices, so as to provide reference for the study of the IRM on the Internet business, and to remedy the defect in the related study in our country.Another focus of attention of the dissertation is to try to summarize and evaluate the practice of the IRM on the Internet business in existence, and based on it, and combining with the theory and practice of trade and investment, to construct a basic model of the IRM on the Internet business, to put forward some suggestions no the practices of the IRM on the Internet business that could be operable for the related line of business.There are altogether more than 100,000 Chinese characters, 152 references, 10 charts and 9 tables in the dissertation.
