The Study On The Quotation Of The Zi(子) Radical Books In Three Sorts Of Buddhist Sutras

The monk Xuanying(玄應)in Tang Dynasty wrote a book named Yiqie Jing Yinyi(一切经音义)Later,another monk in Tang Dynasty named Huilin (慧琳) also wrote a book with the same name Yiqie Jing Yinyi (一切经音义)And in Liao Dynasty,a monk named Xilin (希麟)wrote a book named Xu Yiqie Jing Yinyi(续一切经音义),which is the continuation of Huilin(慧琳)'s book. The three sorts of Buddhist sutras are the epitomist of Buddhist sutras in Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties.The former study about the three books was almost centralized at the aspects just as Characters,Vocabulary and Phonology. In the study on the quotation,learners always pay their attention to the philological books,and few learners pay their attention to the books of Shi(史)Zi(子)Ji(集)Although the learners such as Wangniansun(王念孙),Taofangqi(陶方琦),Liushipei(刘师培)always consulted the Zi(子)books of the three sorts of Buddhist sutras,but up to now few people has systematically studied the whole Zi(子)books of the three books.The goal of this article is to systematize the whole Zi(子)books of the three books.If the Zi(子)books have spread to now,we compare the today's edition with the quotation of the three books. If today's edition of Zi(子)books is incomplete or lost,we can collect the lost parts of Zi(子)books with the aid of the quotation of the three books.This article is composed of two parts. Volume I is a general survey,which is composed of four chapters.In chapter I,we discuss Xuanying(玄應),Huilin(慧琳),Xilin(希麟)'s life and their works,the summary of the study on the quotation of the three books and the study object of this article.In chapterⅡ, we discuss the special style of quotation of the three books and the characteristic of the Zi(子)books themselves. In chapterⅢ, we discuss the value of the quotation of the three books from two aspects,collecting lost and collating.In chapter IV, we discuss the differention of the quotation of the three books. Our textual research is in VolumeⅡ,who include twelve parts,Rujia (儒家),Daojia(道家),Bingjia(兵家),Fajia(法家),Nongjia(农家),Yijia(医家),Tianwensuanfa(天文算法),Shushu(术数),Yishu(艺术),Zajia(杂家),Xiaoshuojia(小说家),Leishu(类书).
