At the beginning of 21st century, the reform of curriculum has aroused general concern. The profound changes have taken place in the fields of curriculum, for example, aims, structure, content, implementation, evaluation. Curriculum has gone out of the narrow circle gradually and into the fiery social life, breathing with politics, economy, science and culture, jumping with the pulse of our times.As the mother tongue curriculum of the Chinese nation, Chinese curriculum is the foundations for not only studying other curriculums but also developing in an all round way for students. Development and improvement of Chinese curriculum still affect the situation of elementary education. For tens years, it was hard to reform Chinese curriculum. There were many reasons for it. But there is no need to query the validity of reasons, namely a narrow view of theoretical research of Chinese curriculum. It results in inefficient and failures in curriculum practice inevitably. So as a research problem, it is a problem of century to change and widen the view of research about Chinese curriculum. Research workers should conduct exploratory and pilot reforms in different disciplinary views and distinctly quantitative or qualitative research methods. In view of it, the academic thesis tries to pay close attention to noumenon of Chinese curriculum, defines the cultural noumenal position of Chinese curriculum based on the achieved great successes and confronted one difficulty after another, and erect the framework of Chinese curriculum culture in the three levels, namely curriculum, textbook and teaching in the classroom. At last, the author advances a general viewpoint that future Chinese curriculum need to culture. All in all, the author hopes her arduous work can lay a good foundation for other further research.My academic thesis falls into six parts and nine chapters, and has a broad coverage of topics. The following are the details.Introduction is "Distinguishing Chinese Curriculum In View of Culture". This part mainly includes international research background of curriculum and research background of Chinese curriculum. It analyses present situation of Chinese curriculum, expounds train, angle of view, significance and author of research, and briefly constructs framework of academic thesis and essential content.Part one is "Introspection Of Century Chinese Curriculum". This part mainly sorts out developing history of century Chinese curriculum and chooses Chinese curriculum transformation in three historical periods as research object. Those are the period of the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the period of the Republic of China, and the period of the New China. Then, the author expounds the relations between development of Chinese curriculum and change of culture.Part two is "Cultural Interpretation Of Chinese Curriculum". This part firstly expounds varied relations between language and culture, between culture and human, between human and language, and determines cultural connotation of Chinese curriculum.
