This dissertation is to explore the origin relationship between the culture and image, literati gardening motif and construction, as well as the reflected life and ideal in the painting throughout the researching literati gardening motif in the late Ming dynasty.To classify the gardening motif, based on the aesthetic and cultural affection of "Wang Ch'uan Tu" in the mid-and-late Ming dynasty, I am hoping to master the arising literati gardening throughout Shen Chou's "Eastern Village", Weng Zheng-ming's "Chuo Zhen Garden".Shen Shi-chong's "Twelve Scene of Jiao Yuan" to discuss the basic style and aesthetic content in the crossing hoistory. To analysis the origin and changes of literati gardening mainly based on Wang Wei's "Wang Ch'uan Tu" copied in Song and Yuan dynasties, and the copy attributed to Li Gong-lin, I am aiming to explore the early style and cultural content of literati gardening. The landscape of literati living and estate landscape had revealed that landscape painting is transforming from public landscape to private living environment.The splendid literati gardening in mid-late Ming dynasty owns historical cause and current causes, mainly rooted in the literati construction activaties. This dissertation take the hermit life ideal as the important cause to analysis to be popular the gardening life and hermit ideal in one aspect, and is to be the transmit the gardening and ideal content throughout paintings, and the idea gardening standard ,as well as the secular and elegant understanding.As for this research, I have analysis the phenomenon of the Gardening motif paintings in mid-and-late Ming dynasty, as in its origin ,state, and affection in the one hand, and put much effect ,statue and deep studies in the whole Chinese Painting history, Chinese Culture History in the other hand.
