The Palace Museum in Beijing stores the painting of Gu Hongzhong's Night Revels of Han Xizai.And China Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing stores a Night Revels of Han Xizai reportedly facsimiled by Tang Yin.So far Gu Hongzhong's Night Revels of Han Xizai has been studied fairly enough,while the Night Revels of Han Xizai reportedly facsimiled by Tang Yin in China Three Gorges Museum draws less attention.According to certain research,at present there are nearly nine different versions of Night Revels of Han Xizai most of which were painted in Ming Dynasty.Obviously it is a unusual cultural phenomenon that the painting which has a special meaning had been facsimiled repeatedly in Ming Dynasty.Nowadays,the study of Night Revels of Han Xizai reportedly facsimiled by Tang Yin is almost ignored by the scholars.Therefore,this dissertation focuses on the study and research of this painting by some research techniques such as iconology and artistic sociology.Firstly,different versions of Night Revels of Han Xizai are comprehensively introduced.The aesthetic features and cultural connotation of Gu Hongzhong's and Tang Yin's versions of Night Revels of Han Xizai in Ming dynasty have been revealed by comprehensively exploring them,comparing the image systems of these two versions and analyzing the differences between them.Secondly,by analyzing the thriving economy and cultural consumption in Ming Dynasty,the reason why Night Revels of Han Xizai reportedly facsimiled by Tang Yin was painted in Ming Dynasty,a special history background,is explained.It is concluded that Tang Yin's and Han Xizai's attitudes towards life have certain conjunction.The Night Revels of Han Xizai reportedly facsimiled by Tang Yin,under the role of the art market,is exactly the product of the interaction between “biography written transfer model ” and the art market.Lastly,from the perspective of the whole history of Ming painting,Night Revels of Han Xizai reportedly facsimiled by Tang Yin is horizontally compared with other paintings in Ming Dynasty and investigated from the angle of figure painting,landscape painting and flower and bird painting.Thus,the inner connection between Night Revels of Han Xizai reportedly facsimiled by Tang Yin and the whole painting art of Ming Dynasty is uncovered.The painting content and expression technique of Tang Yin's and Gu Hongzhong's Night Revels of Han Xizai have big differences.A series of components,such as the sequence in which the story takes place,the attires of the figures and the furniture in the painting,all in a certain extent manifest the typical cultural atmosphere and life characteristics of Ming Dynasty.There are countless inner connection between this painting and scholar-bureaucrats' ideal civilian life and spirit pursuit in middle and late Ming Dynasty.This dissertation focuses the image details of Night Revels of Han Xizai facsimiled by Tang Yin and interconnects them with the literati's life background in Ming Dynasty.When studying the literati's life pursuit and life concept of leisure and shunning the world in Ming Dynasty,this thesis also analyzes Jiangnan literati's cultural life and more profound connotation thinking reflected from the Tang Yin's Night Revels of Han Xizai.Such life state is reflected from all the aspects of literati's life.They made perfection more perfect towards their life details and they dissatisfied with the society so they shunning form the real world.To a certain extent,this pursuit of reality resonates with Jiangnan literati's cultural dream in Ming Dynasty which is reflected from Night Revels of Han Xizai facsimiled by Tang Yin.Thus,in spiritual level,this painting realizes the frustrated literati's ideal pursuit of culture in Ming Dynasty.In the end,this thesis discusses Night Revels of Han Xizai reportedly facsimiled by Tang Yin together with literati in Ming Dynasty who are highly representative and dissects Jiangnan literati's special cultural ecology in Ming Dynasty.
