As a result of the rapid development of the third technological revolution, social structure and human life have changed a lot. Living in such an era, we tend to focus on the topic of media and time, exploring the relationship between media being and media time. Therefore, around these two keywords, this paper proposes two concepts creatively, the mediate time and the timenized media, and expands them into two paths in the study.This study points out that media time has powerful function in reconstructing the social reality as a new time form, and mainly discusses the changing of technology development, society and the variety concept of time. Besides, there are close ties among media development, social organizations and the concept of time.Specifically, the body of this study can be divided into five parts. In the first part, with an aim of arouse people’s attention to the diversity of time, the concept of time in different historical periods were scrutinized since communication appears. Afterwards, the significance of studying social changes and media space-time were talked. An important view in this part is that the idea of treating time as single, machinery, uniform and irreversible concept was objected.The definition and features of media time are given in the second part. Then the influence of media time on society, group and individuality were discussed from the macro, mess and micro levels.The core topic of the third part is how the mediated time holds and reconstructs our social reality. Firstly, the status of the mediated social time was revealed from internal and external. Secondly, questionnaire survey and depth interview methods are used to investigate the behavior and habits during WeChat using period. At last, as a classification of media time, private media time and media time in public sphere were discussed.The fourth part includes management and development trend of timenized media. The definition of timenized media was given at the beginning of this chapter. Then the differentiation advantages of timenized media are summarized according to the specific representation of timenized media in information society. The rest of this part discusses the application and development trend of timenized time from political, cultural and economic perspectives.Reflective studies is carried on from power, the social time dominated by media, equality illusion behind the simultaneity in the electronic era, fleeing time and self being in cyberspace in the last part.
