Research On Cities' Structuration Theory And Its Methods

This thesis makes a deep inquiry aiming at the crisis which emerged in the mordern city and planning practice in China,Its train of thoughts root in every stage of city developped history,especially it continues the post-mordern urban and architecture theories which appeared after 1960's. This thesis makes the "structure" as the research beginning,because structure is not only the force at the cities' core ,but also it bases on the truth "cities' essences exist in their structure".At the same time,the thesis guides the word"structuration"to explain the tendency transformation charateristic of cities' structures.Firstly,the article explains the cities' structures and structuration in the respects of philosophy,sociology,anthropology and etc.It tries to resume the relationship between the cities,planning and the spirit ,art,and seeks to resolve the creative mind problems of the cities' structure developping. Secondly, after analysis and demonstration the meanings and their developping in every way,the article makes clear the influences and traces that structures and everyday life spread ou the value in the time and space spreading on cities' every structuration stage,especially on future periods.thenit puts forward phenomenon contermeature.As this bridge,it approaches the savage mind in the cities' structuration, its meaning is that let "genius" hide and bring forth the new "craftsman"role,then by combining with three kinds of design paradigms,make the cities' structure teansformationto points to poetry form theme.Cities' structuration and savage mind don't divide into periods by history phases,but interweave in every era.Finally, the thesis draws a conclusion,that is "cities' existences and development depend on structuration and savage mind.Urban planning and design must creat the conception which is from "genies"to "craftsman",from binding to freedom,from ration to poetry.This thesis conclude in seven chapters.The first chapter is introduction, it maily explains the realistic background ,methods,destinations and meanings of the city structuration research .The second chapter mainly establishthe cities' structure basis by comparation research ,especially the structuralistthoughtsand methods meanings in cities .The third chapter supplies the basic factors and conditions to fix the structures in cities, and points out the resuming public domains structuration design tractics.The fourth chapter goes a step further to explain the cities' structuration from time-space sides,and analysises the relationship problems among idelogy,regionfying and structuration.On the basis of reading two examples.it supplies structuration phenomeno countermeature of urban planning and design,leads to the transformation trendecy of savage mind methods.
