Under the background of rapid urbanization,China has been witnessing the course of globalization and regional development.City's rapid development not only promotes economic prosperity,but also broughts about the rapid assimilation of geographical feat--ures,which making the physical form that contains the natural force,human spirit and historical material submerged in the space of lacking regional characteristics.The overall urban planning as the basis for the city's implementation and construction plays an important role in the extension of urban space features and guiding the rational development,but there is a neglected problem on geographical characteristics.Thus, study on the urban planning with geographical characteristics is very necessary.The thesis is presented and studied at such a context,which attempts to explore the interpretation and expression of the geographical characteristics in the layout of urban planning.At first,thesis analyzes the basic concepts of geographical features and proposes a natural and socio-cultural factors that are the main features of the impact of geographical factors.Thus,the thesis clears the right concept of the layout of urban planning,which is respecting for the geographical environment and responding to development needs while protecting the traditional culture.Thesis still reviews and summarizes the related planning theory at home and abroad.On this basis,analies the the case for the uniqueness and study on the geographical characteristics of a distinct object Luochuan,and analies the geographical characteristics of Luochuan in the the natural environment,human environmentand policy factors three aspects.Exploring the geographical features of the expression and development discipline is the basis for its consideration in the urban planning.Thesis starts from the inherent relationship of the layout of urban planning and the geographical characteristics.That is,through the analysis of expression and the use of the geographical features of Luochuan at functions, structures and forms proposes that at the condition of continuing and integrating the traditional function in the future meets the development needs and enriches the connotation of urban functions that is reflecting the the functions of cities with geographical features.By respecting the local natural and human environment spatial pattern is to form a contact time of the past and the future axis of the spatial pattern of development that is highlighting the geographical characteristic of layout of the structure.Luochuan heritages and integrats the existing order and the spatial form of space in the future,respects for environmental characteristics,makes the artificial environment and the natural environment is to strengthen the organic integration of the geographical distribution of morphological characteristics of the city.Studies suggest that the establishment of a new contact with the old,the unity of time and space,the integration of artificial and natural are the basic approaches to plan with a sense of belonging and wealth to the geographical characteristics,which is one of the ways to from the natural growth planning to the city.So that eventually every city may form a city rich in urban functions,the overall spatial structure in an orderly manner and a completely form in the layout.
