Conceptual Structure Design Optimize Based On The Synchronous Tolerance

The competition of the machine in the international and internal market rests with the product quality and the product quality depends on the product design. The product design can make the product excellent in the nature. It is the most important thing of product quality. And because tolerance both affects the product quality and makes the crucial effect on the product cost, it is also one of the important things in product design.The current research on tolerance design mostly concentrates on the detailed design stage. There is very few research that focuses on the application into the earlier period of the design. The thesis is supported by National Nature Science Fund Project (No:50475129), named 'Study on evolving theory and technology of synchronous synthetic tolerancing in product conceptual design'. According to the principles of 'top-down' and 'Decomposition and Reconstitution', the tolerance design and its key technology are studied in the conceptual- structure design stage based on Growth Design Methodology of conceptual structure. With the development and evolution of structure design in 'top-down' style, the tolerance design develops and evolves in the same way. The factor of tolerance is regarded as the key foundational element of the early stage of design process and the drive factor for the product design, which impulses the product building and evaluating of the design product. The tolerance design in conceptual- structure design stage can identify the product problem, lessen the design rework, shorten the design period and reduce the cost.The main content of this thesis is organized as below:The current research situation of present domestic and overseas computer aided tolerance design and conceptual design is summarized firstly. The necessity of tolerance design in the early stage of design process is explained according to 'Top-down' design style.
