Objective:The purpose of this study, which was based on the status quo and influencing factors of medical students'health literacy, was to understand the intervention effect of SRS health management model on health literacy intervention, and to provide reference for improving medical students'health literacy and health management in college. Methods:Stratified random cluster sampling method was used to select 2532 medical students with 1~3 grade from three colleges in Shanxi province. The questionnaire was“Chinese Citizens'Health Literacy(2015 edition)”and a survey on basic situation of students was completed.Stratified random cluster sampling method was used to select classes in medical and medical-related majors from a medical university, classes were randomly divided into intervention group and control group.Intervention group was conducted a 6-month intervention of health literacy based on SRS model, and the control group maintained the regular teaching model and was not carried out special health management.Questionnaire was used to assess the health literacy condition of two groups before and after intervention.EXCEL software was used to collect data and data Entry entered by Blind Double.SPSS 24.0 was employed to analyze the data.?~2and multiple factors analyses were performed to evaluate the influencing factors of medical student health literacy.?~2 was used to evaluate the effect of SRS health management model on health literacy intervention. Results:Among the medical students, the rates of the medical students with overall health literacy, basic health knowledge and concepts, health lifestyles and behaviors, and health basic skills were 41.8%,33.9%,46.0%and 48.3%,with the rates of scientific health view, infectious diseases prevention, chronic diseases prevention, safety and first aid, basic medical care and health information were 70.8%,50.8%,19.0%,83.4%,52.1%,76.7%,respectively.Logistic regression showed that the students majoring in medicine(OR=1.446),in grade 2/grade 3(OR=1.571/1.779),having health management course(OR=1.365),and with better/good self-rated health(OR=6.446/6.351)had a higher rate of overall health literacy;the students with BMI?28 kg/m~2(OR=0.418)had a lower rate. The students in grade 2/grade 3(OR=1.550/1.590),having health management course(OR=1.643),with general and better self-rated health(OR=3.030/3.054)had a higher rate of chronic diseases prevention literacy;the students majoring in medicine(OR=0.782),with familial monthly per capita income of 3000~5000 yuan(OR=0.571)had a lower rate of chronic diseases prevention literacy. After intervention, the rates of overall health literacy increased from 39.2%to 72.1%,the rates of basic health knowledge and concepts, health lifestyles and behaviors, and basic skills increased from 38.6%,41.6%,46.4%to 87.3%,69.1%,61.8%,respectively,all the differences were of statistical significance(?~2=84.108,25.360,7.936,P<0.05).The literacy level of 6 dimensions, including scientific health view, infectious diseases prevention, chronic diseases prevention, safety and first aid, basic medical care and health information was improved more significantly than the baseline(P<0.05).And other health literacy levels in control group had no significant improvement after intervention except scientific health view(P>0.05).Conclusions:The overall level of health literacy of medical students was higher, but the balance of health literacy was poor among the three aspects and the six dimensions. The health knowledge and health behavior literacy were separated. The chronic disease prevention literacy should be improved urgently, and there were significant differences in overall, three aspects and the six dimensions health literacy among medical students with different self-rated health status,BMI grades. The main factors influencing overall health literacy among medical students were grade, specialty,BMI,participate in health management course or not and self-rated health status.Health literacy promotion strategies based on SRS model were effective intervention approaches to improve medical students'health literacy level, which may provide suggestions to the health management in college.
