Objective:The main purpose of this study is to understand the status of health literacy among college students in Shijiazhuang,and to analyse the main factors affecting college students'health literacy.Through the results,it'll reveal how to effectively improve the health literacy of college students,and so as to provide the reference basis for the government department.Methods:In the study,3448 college students from three universities were selected for a questionnaire.The national health literacy monitoring questionnaire in 2016 was also used in our survey.SPSS23.0 software was used to do chi-square and logistic regression analysis.Results:1.Their average score of the health literacy is(68.11±13.52),there are560 students who scored above 80.Overall health literacy rate is 16.2%.The average score of health knowledge and concept is(29.62±5.73),the average score of healthy lifestyle and behavior is(19.81±4.38),the average score of healthy skills is(18.68±4.38).2.There are statistical differences between the students who major in medicine and those who don't(?~2=185.55,P<0.001).Overall health literacy level and three dimensions literacy level of medical students are higher than non-medical students.3.There are statistical differences in different gender(?~2=27.64,P<0.001),Overall health literacy level and three dimensions literacy level of male students are higher than female students.4.There are statistical differences among the students of different ages(P<0.001),Overall health literacy level and health knowledge and concept literacy level of students aged 19-23 are higher than students of other ages.Lifestyle and behavior and healthy skills literacy level of students aged 24 are higher than students of other ages.5.There are statistical differences among students who are in different grades(?~2=473.9,P<0.001),Overall health literacy level and three dimensions literacy level of students in grade 4 are higher than junior students.6.There are statistical differences between students who come from different origins i.e.the city or the village(?~2=29.82,P<0.001),Overall health literacy level and three dimensions literacy level of urban students are higher than rural students.7.There are statistical differences among students whose families have different incomes(?~2=34.89,P<0.001),Overall health literacy level and three dimensions literacy level of students whose family earn more than ten thousands are higher than other students whose family have lower income.8.Grade,school and gender are the comprehensive factors which affects health literacy level of the subjects.Conclusion:The health literacy level of students in Shijiazhuang needs to be improved,it is affected by grade,school and gender.Relevant departments should make intervention policy as soon as possible,in order to improve the health literacy lever of college students.
