Objective:In this study.Modified Baoyin Decoction was used to treat the kidney-yin deficiency type of intermenstrual bleeding. The clinical efficacy of Modified Baoyin Decoction was observed by case collection and data analysis in order to carry out some initial exploration of its treatment mechanism and the pathogenesis of intermenstrual bleeding, for the purpose of providing reliable basis for the clinical application and promotion of this prescription.Methods:60 patients with kidney-yin deficiency type of intermenstrual bleeding, who met to the clinical diagnostic standard and were in accordance with the inclusion criteria, were randomly selected and divided into two groups, with 30 patients in each group. The patients in the treatment group were treated by taking Modified Baoyin Decoction orally,at the same time the control group took orally Weiweining Granules(Jiangsu Jianmin Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd.).The specific medication method is as follows:the treatment group began to take Modified Baoyin Decoction orally after the menstruation until the interstitial bleeding stopped by 1 dose per day, while the control group taking Weiweining Granules took 1 pack of granules each time and 3 times a day, which was brewed with warm water. The time of taking the drugs in the two groups was the same.It was considered that 1 menstrual cycle was 1 course of treatment. The hemostatic effect, the improvement of clinical symptoms before and after treatment, and the changes of basic follicle stimulating hormone, endometrial thickness and coagulation function were observed after continuous treatment for 3 courses.According to these results,we can assess the effectiveness of medication, and have a preliminary discussion on the pathogenesis of intermenstrual bleeding. Results:The total effective rate of clinical comprehensive treatment in the treatment group and the control group was 93.3%and 70.0%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were decreased after treatment. Moreover the differential value of the TCM syndrome scores was significant in the treatment group as compared with the control group(P<0.01),which suggests that the treatment group has an advantage in improving TCM syndrome and improving patients’ quality of life. The total effective rate of hemostasis in the treatment group and the control group was 93.3%and 73.3%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Both methods were able to shorten the duration of interphase bleeding,Moreover, the differential value of the the duration of interphase bleeding was significant in the treatment group as compared with the control group(P<0.05),which indicates that the hemostasis effect of the treatment group was more prominent than the control group. The basic FSH value was reduced after treatment in both groups. The difference between the treatment group and the control group was statistically significant(T test,P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group was better in improving ovarian reserve function.Furthermore,it is indicated from the side that inter-period hemorrhage may be associated with ovarian reserve function. There were no significant changes in interstitial endometrial thickness and coagulation in the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05),which means that the two groups did not have special effects on endometrial thickness and coagulation function, and the pathogenesis may be unrelated to coagulation. No significant adverse reactions occurred in the two groups during treatment, indicating that the treatment methods in both groups were safe. Conclusion:Modified Baoyin Decoction is effective in treating the kidney-yin deficiency type of intermenstrual bleeding.lt can obviously relieve bleeding symptoms, and obviously relieve the concomitant symptoms, such as soreness-tired of waist and knee, burning sensation of five centres, sleepness and so on.Meanwhile,it can also better the ovarian reserve in some degree.and not affect the endometrial thickness and coagulation function. Therefore,Modified Baoyin Decoction is an effective drug for the treatment of kidney-yin deficiency type of intermenstrual bleeding.
