| Objective:Under the background of healthy China strategy,the demand for medical and health professionals has changed and higher requirements have been put forward.Therefore,higher requirements have been put forward for the training of medical professionals.Specialty construction is an important link in talent training of local medical colleges.Strengthening specialty construction is the key to improve teaching quality and school running efficiency of local medical colleges,and is also the core competitiveness construction of local medical colleges.Taking a medical college in Guangxi as an example,the study of undergraduate specialty construction in local medical colleges under the background of healthy China strategy can provide a basis for the competent departments of colleges and universities to carry out macro-management and scientific regulation of the specialty construction of schools,and also provide a guarantee for each specialty to reflect on the problems existing in its own specialty construction process,to carry out targeted rectification and improve the quality of personnel training.Local medical colleges and universities providereference for professional construction.Methods: The development history of specialty construction in universities and medical colleges at home and abroad was studied by literature research method,and the theoretical basis of specialty construction in local medical colleges was elaborated;the construction status of Undergraduate Specialty in a medical college in Guangxi was analyzed by descriptive analysis method;and the undergraduate teaching review of a medical college in Guangxi from 2016 to2017 was conducted by text analysis method.Analysis of feedback from reviewing experts in nuclear assessment.Results: The results show that the construction of Undergraduate Specialty in a medical college in Guangxi has achieved some results,but there are also some problems as follows:(1)The problems of specialty setting are: unbalanced discipline support;unbalanced affiliation units of specialty;traditional medical industry is the main part of undergraduate specialty setting,and lack of new medical specialty.(2)The existing problems of the teaching staff: the unbalanced development of the teaching staff;the investment of undergraduate teaching needs to be strengthened;some teachers’ educational and teaching abilities need to be improved;and the coordination mechanism of supporting and serving the development of teachers needs to be improved.(3)The existing problems of teaching resources: single source of teaching funds and need to be broadened;relatively scarce teaching resources in newly-built affiliated hospitals;strengthened library resources;strengthened construction of Newly-established specialties;strengthened construction of self-built high-quality network courses;and improved mechanism of open cooperation and cooperative education.(4)The problems existing in the training process are as follows: too many total hours and credits in the talent training program,andtoo few elective courses;the combination of talent training mode and "healthy China" is not close enough;some teachers are not very active in participating in teaching reform;the cultivation of talents with both moral and medical education needs to be strengthened,the means of network ideological and political education needs to be innovated;and the level of innovation and entrepreneurship needs to be improved.(5)The existing problems in the development of students: the quality of some non-medical newly-established majors needs to be further improved;and the quality of employment of some non-medical newly-established majors needs to be further strengthened.(6)Problems in quality assurance: the effect of quality improvement needs to be further improved;the standard system of teaching quality needs to be improved;and the comprehensive analysis and utilization of teaching process information is insufficient.Conclusions: In view of the problems existing in the undergraduate specialty construction of a medical college in Guangxi and the requirements of the healthy China strategy,local medical colleges and universities should:(1)do a good job of professional planning and standardize the management system is the premise: combine the healthy China strategy with the demand for talents,optimize the professional structure,promote the construction of new medical disciplines;coordinate medical education,integrate science and education,obstetrics and education,and promote learning.Integration of subject and professional courses should be built,and dynamic adjustment mechanism should be established to adjust the professional ownership management units in time according to the development of departments and colleges.(2)Improving the construction of teaching staff is the core: strengthening the construction of professional teachers,increasing talent introduction;strengthening curriculumdesign,arranging class hours rationally,implementing the undergraduate teaching system of professors;establishing incentive mechanism to strengthen the training of young teachers’ teaching ability;and establishing and improving the mechanism of co-management of teacher development and training assessment.(3)Increasing investment in professional teaching resources is the guarantee: making full use of policies,expanding teaching scale and raising funds in many ways;making good overall planning of affiliated hospitals and speeding up the construction of affiliated hospitals;increasing the investment in books to improve the utilization rate of paper and electronic books;strengthening the investment in Newly-established specialties,clarifying the responsibilities of professional construction,strengthening the implementation of tasks;enriching high-quality network resources,and increasing the utilization rate of electronic books.Strengthen the training of modern educational technology,improve the utilization of network courses,strengthen foreign cooperation and improve the mechanism of collaborative education.(4)Talent training is fundamental: formulating talent training plan scientifically and strictly implementing it;actively constructing innovative and entrepreneurial talent training mode under the concept of big health,highlighting the advantages and characteristics of running a school;perfecting incentive system and mechanism to stimulate the power of teachers’ teaching reform and innovation;speeding up platform construction,innovating network ideological and political education means;and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship under the strategy of "healthy China" Education.(5)Student development is the key point:to strengthen the construction of new non-medical specialties,optimize the structure of specialties,increase the propaganda of enrollment,and further strengthen the quality of employment of some new non-medical graduates.(6)Quality assurance is the guarantee: to strengthen the construction of teaching quality assurance system and mechanism;to improve the standard system of teaching quality;to improve the efficiency of comprehensive analysis and utilization of teaching process information. |
