Design And Implementation Of ERP Platform For Small And Medium Enterprises Based On Windows Azure

Enterprise management informationization is the development direction of today's era,is the effective means to improve the core competitiveness.If companies want to adapt to the market,meet customer needs,and remain competitive in today's challenging business environment,they must maintain the advanced nature both in the outstanding management and updating technology.They also need to do well in the enterprise information management through the implementation of ERP application to enhance their own level of information technology and production quality,management and operational efficiency,and finally maintain a competitive advantage to achieve greater development.Over the past decade,ERP process with the current evolution of technology and trends,and now,by no accident,it has shifted to the cloud.The traditional ERP is more emphasis on point-to-point transfer for the enterprise's internal supply chain,and cloud-based ERP is more like a specialized enterprise-sharing system that with solutions to solve the problems of the enterprise information integration professionally and efficiently.Its essence is to achieve data computing in the cloud,to get a high integration level of information storage,and then integrate procure,design,production,finance,marketing and other aspects,share information and resources,more efficiently and conveniently achieve real-time management and control,thus greatly improve production efficiency and product quality,speed up the response capacity of the enterprises.This paper summarizes the current situation and usage of ERP system both in mainland and overseas,studies the cloud computing technology,compares the cloud computing services which provided by several cloud service providers.According to the application of Microsoft's cloud computing product Windows Azure and the characteristics of small and medium enterprises,the author designed and implied a cloud-based SaaS model of small and medium enterprises ERP platform.Then,based on the system design,the development environment of the system has been determined.The function of the platform has been coded.The ERP platform was finally deployed to the Windows Azure platform.The system function test and performance test have been carried out.Windows Azure has all the benefits of PaaS(Platform As A Service)and the same flexibility as IaaS,the infrastructure.The Windows Azure platform integrates large compute pools(business servers),networking,and storage resources into a utility computing environment,where resources can be accessed on demand,making them ideal for ERP platforms.This system is a cloud application program based on Windows Azure platform.The system module mainly includes sales management,production management,purchasing management,MRP management,inventory management and financial management.It is an ERP platform suitable for small and medium enterprises.
