ObjectiveTo investigate the status of post-traumatic growth(PTG)of family members of patients with digestive system cancer from the perspective of positive psychology, analyze the influencing factors and study the relationship between the post-traumatic growth, with perceived social support, coping style and personality orientation. So as to provide theoretical basis for improve the growth of the family members of cancer patients after the traumatic and promote their physical and mental health.MethodsThe cross-sectional survey method shall be used and 302 family members of digestive system cancer patients from November 2015 to March 2016 in a tumor hospital in Henan province shall be selected. The general information questionnaires, the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory(PTGI),the Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS),and the Simplified Coping Style(LOT-R),was used to investigate. The data were establish by Epidata 3.1 software to a database, using SPSS 17.0 for descriptive analysis,T-test,Pearson correlation analysis,ANOVA,multiple linear stepwise regressions analysis. And use the AMOS 17.0 for path analysis.Results1 The status of PTG in families of patients with digestive cancerThe total score of the post-traumatic growth of the families of patients with digestive system cancer was(46.03±15.83).The average scores of the five dimensioned entries are divided from high to low, namely the appreciation of life(2.76±1.03),personal relationship(2.39±0.82),personal power(2.35±0.90);new possibility(1.76±0.96),and mental Change(1.38±0.99).2 The univariate analysis of post-traumatic growth in family members of cancer patients with digestive systemThe results of univariate analysis showed that the family education level, work situation, family income per month, the duration of care, the time of diagnosis of the disease, the cancer stage of the patient, were the influencing factors of post-traumatic growth of family members of cancer patients with digestive system(P<0.05).3 Correlation analysis between the perceived social support, coping style and personality orientation with the PTG in family members of patients with digestive system cancerPearson correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between the perceived social support ability with the post-traumatic growth of the family members of the digestive system cancer patients. The correlation score was r=0.730,P<0.01.In the coping style, there is a positive correlation between positive coping style with post-traumatic growth. The correlation score was r=0.644,P<0.01.While except personal relationship and mental change dimensions, there is a negative correlation between the post-traumatic grow with the negative coping style The correlation score was r=-0.155,P<0.05.The correlation score was in the personality orientation, there is a positive correlation between the total score of personality and post-traumatic growth. The correlation score was r=0.345,P<0.01.Among which the optimistic orientation dimension was correlated with post-traumatic growth. The correlation score was r=0.501,P<0.01.While the pessimistic dimension was not significantly correlated in this study(P>0.05).4 The multiple linear regression analysis of post-traumatic growth in family members of patients with digestive system cancerThrough the multiple stepwise regression analysis,it was concluded that the perceived social support, positive coping, negative coping, optimistic personality, patients’ disease diagnosis time and family education entered the final linear regression equation,These factors can explain about 65.9% variation.5 The path analysis of post-traumatic growth with perceived social support, coping style and optimistic personality orientation in family members of patients with digestive system cancerThe path analysis results showed that positive coping, optimistic personality orientation, perceived social support can have a direct positive impact on the post-traumatic growth of families with digestive system cancer patients.Negative coping could have a direct negative effect on traumatic growth. In addition, positive coping, optimistic personality orientation can also be through the social support for the impact of post-traumatic growth.Efficacy analysis show that the positive coping style had the greatest effect on post-traumatic growth(β=0.531),and negative coping had the least effect on post-traumatic growth((β=-0.107).The modeχ2/df=1.291,RMSE=0.032,AGFI=0.972,CFI=0.999,GFI=0.996,RFI=0.973,NFI=0.995,IFI=0.999,prompt the model is well fitted.Conclusions1 The family members of patients with digestive system cancer can experience post-traumatic growth.2 The variable of patients’ disease diagnosis time, family education level, perceived social support, positive coping, optimistic personality orientation are the main influence factors causing post-traumatic growth in the family members of patients with digestive system cancer.3 Perceived social support, coping style and optimistic personality orientation can have a direct effect on the post-traumatic growth in the family members of patients with digestive system cancer;Perceived social support can also be used as a mediator between positive coping and optimistic personality orientation thereby affecting the post traumatic growth.
