Objective:In recent years, many scholars who have used autologous blood therapy and BCG-PSN in treatment of Chronic Urticaria proved that autologous blood and BCG-PSN is effective for Chronic Urticaria. But there are few studies comparing these two methods. This study was to compare the efficacy and safety of autologous blood and BCG-PSN in the treatment of chronic urticaria and provide reference for the treatment of chronic urticaria. Methods:A total of 68 patients were divided into two groups:treatment group (n=34), used Chinese medicine, Ebastine and Injecting autologous blood into Zusanli; control group (n=34), applied Chinese medicine, Ebastine and Injecting BCG-PSN into acupoint Zusanli. Curative effect was observed 7th days,14th days,28th days after treatment. We evaluated the recurrence rate after 1 month follow-up. SPSS20.0 statistical software was used for data analysis. Statistical methods were using t test, rank test or Chi-square test.Results:68 patients were enrolled and 65 patients completed the trial, including 32 cases in treatment group and 33 cases in control group. There were 3 patients dropped out from the trial.Efficacy assessment based on symptom score reducing index(SSRI) showed that the effective rate of treatment group and control group were 43.75%,53.13%,84.38% and 39.39%,48.48%,81.82% respectively, no statistically significant difference was observed 7days,14days,28days after treatment between two groups(χ2=0.022, χ2=0.015, and χ2=0.076; P=0.883, P=0.903,and P=0.783).The differences of efficacy which were observed 7days,14days,28days after treatment and before treatment were significant in treatment group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between 7days and 14days, but significant difference between 14days and 28days (χ2=0.567, P=0.451;χ2=8.576, P=0.003).The consequence of control group was similar to the treatment group. The differences of symptom score which were observed 7days,14days,28days after treatment and before treatment were significant in treatment group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between 7days and 14days, but significant difference between 14days and 28days. The consequence of control group was similar to the treatment group. There was no statistically significant different between two groups 7,14 and 28 days after treatment (P>0.05).There were 2 cases relapsed respectively in treatment group and control group after a month of follow-up. The recurrence of treatment and control group were 20% and 18.18% respectively, there were no statistically significant difference between two groups (P>0.05).No serious adverse events were reported in these two groups. The incidences of adverse event of treatment and control group were 6.25% and 3.03% respectively, there were no statistically significant difference between two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:The efficacy of treatment and control group is similar in the treatment of CU and the incidences of adverse events and recurrence are not different in the two groups. Both groups reflects a significant treatment effect on 7days and 28days, but not significant on 14days. Ebastine is quick in action but Chinese medicine and point injection is slower than Ebastine. It can be see that the patient who has no significant efficacy could change the dose, category or combine other antihistamines. It shouldn’t be less than 28 days if you choose Chinese medicine and point injection. The efficacy of point injection with self blood and BCG-PSN is similar. Both of them could be chose for the treatment of CU. |
