Investigation And In Fluencing Factors Analysis Of Current Status Of Health Literacy Of College Students In Kunming

College Students’ health literacy level reflects the level of the college student to develop a healthy sense of the situation as well as the formation of a healthy lifestyle.It is important to improve the students’health.This study conducts a sampling survey of university students of Kunming,to master the status of health literacy and analysis of the main influencing factors, explore the relationship with the health related quality of life, in order to open up new ideas for the development of health education for University Students.This study adopts cluster random sampling method.500college students were selected as the research object of literacy survey from the Yunnan University, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Yunnan Normal University, Kunming Medical University and Yunnan Agricultural University. The investigation content includes: basic personal information,health literacy knowledge, health knowledge demand of college students, the ways of acquiring and health related quality of life. This study adopts quantitative analysis method, using SPSS17.0software for statistical analysis of data,makes a descriptive analysis of the demographic characteristics and the status of health literacy of College students. Analysis of Spearmon rank correlation coefficient for the relationship between the three dimensions, five kinds of health literacy and health related quality of life and health literacy.Using logistic regression analysis on influence factors of health literacy.Research shows that, the rate of college students’health literacy of Kunming City is23%.College students’literacy status based on demographic characteristics is that:female students are higher than male,the students of medical profession is higher than the students majoring in literature/economics/administration/art,the students majoring in literature/economics/administration/art are higher than the students majoring in science and Engineering.The higher the level of education of parents, students’health literacy level is higher. Students enrolled in health electives higher than the students who has not.Gender, professional and educational level of parents are the main influencing factors of health literacy (P<0.05). According to the status of health literacy among college students in Kunming, schools and related departments should take effective health interventions.Schools and related departments should in efforts to improve the overall health literacy of students.at the same time,they should focus on the level of health literacy of boys, non medical students, low grade students,students from rural areas and students whose parents have low educational level.At the same time,through the combination of school health education and family health education,schools and related departments should to carry out regular monitoring and intervention on the health literacy level of university students, in order to improve the college students’ health literacy level.
