Objective: To know the current status of KAP about reproductive health among the college students in Wuhan, and to investigate the influencing factors of sexual behavior occurrence, so as to provide scientific evidences for intervention for them. Methods: A questionnaire survey on reproductive health and sexual behavior was conducted among undergraduates sampled by stratified cluster randomization from 4 kinds of universities or colleges in Wuhan. The number of universities or colleges was seven altogether. Results: In total 8997 undergraduates were surveyed, 4963 male and 4034 female were included. Students reported they had little knowledge of oral contraception and emergency contraception, while they knew the conditions of conception and the transmitted ways of AIDS well. Medical students reached the higher level of cognition than the students in the other three universities or colleges(p<0.05). More than 90% respondents thought it was necessary to master knowledge of sex and contraception, only 42.9% were not approved of"sex libration", 68.2% considered that chastity was important for both male and female. 10.0% students reported they had premarried sexual behavior and 57.4% had taken some contraceptive measures in their first sexual behavior. Contraception methods mainly used were condom(85.6%), safe period contraception(45.9%), vitro ejaculation(39.2%) and oral contraceptive(33.3%). The self-reported incidence of accidental pregnancy was 25.7% in the people having sexual behavior. The incidence of sexual behavior in art academy was 14.7%, and its accidental pregnancy incidence (43.6%) was the highest of all. Using logistic regression to analyze the influencing factors of sexual behavior occurrence, the results showed the risk factors of sexual behavior were ages, the types of universities or colleges, considering premarried sexual behavior was permitted if emotional involvement existed, etc. Conclusion: The level of awareness of reproductive health knowledge among undergraduates in Wuhan is very low, while their tolerant attitude to sex can influence the occurrence of sexual behavior, as well as the types of universities or colleges. In response to the needs of the youth, it is required to conduct systematic and comprehensive reproductive health education based on the factors influencing sexual behavior.
