With the development of aerospace industry, the multifunctional terminal equipment for base band has been developed in recent years. The high speed data flow transmitted from the satellites is received by the satellite communication earth station and then sent to the data terminal center, the speed of which is up to hundreds of megabytes baud rate. In order to receive the data correctly and store it in computer for analysis and process, a kind of space tracking data recording system based on PCI bus is designed and realized in this dissertation, which enhance the space tracking system's integrality .The author's main work is as follow:1. According to the technical target of the system, design the whole system by analyzes two different methods of high speed data recording.2. Design the hardware system, which focus on the selection of chips on the PCI card, the power network, the speed and capacity of the storage, the PCI interface and so on. At the same time, discussed some problems which need to be paid attention to when design the PCB board in order to reduce EMI and improve the digital circuit's performance.3. Realize the interface between PCI9054 and the PCI bus, including the bus arbitration, read and write of the registers, the configuration of the EEPROM, the DMA transfer, interrupt response and so on.4. Complete the design of system's logic function with FPGA.The SDRAM's controller and Ping-Pong operation is studied, and the data's continuous storage is also realized.5. The WDM device driver has been developed in DriverStudio's development environment, which can make the hardware system work correctly. The Scatter/Gather DMA's device driver is studied in detail and the user application's design approach is also presented. With the WDM driver, the user can communicate with the hardware and guarantee to receive and store the data in computer's hard disk correctly.
