Influence Factors And Arrearage About Migrant Workers' Wage

In the past 20 years, after the reform and opening-up was carried out in China, enormous social and economic development had taken place. With the reform of planned economy, levels of urbanization and non-agricultural industries had been upgraded. But because of the huge surplus farm labor size, the development of agriculture is tardigrade and the difference between people's income both in town and country has been increased. The surplus farm labor, having been confined to the land in long years began to be free from agriculture after the flexibility of traditional household registration. The survey analyses the reasons of farmers hunt for work in cities, the migrant workers' contribute and wage status quo. What's more, it distinguishes the elements in determining the migrant works' wage and analyses the reason for arrearage. Based on the above, the survey makes a concrete analysis from the following three aspects:The first survey's result shows that the process of the migrant work hunt for work in cities has been divided into two stages. In the primary stage, the rural labor's transfer was restricted and then they can transfer themselves to cities free. The substantial evidence shows that the migrant worker is a key element what affects the decrease of difference between people's income both in town and country, employment pattern, industrial structure, and the urbanization and modernization of farm labor deeply. The research result proves that the migrant workers' low-level wage were in arrears at every turn. The second aspect analyses the influence factors of migrant workers' wage both macroscopical side and microcosmic side. The result shows that the microcosmic elements are level of education, age, seniority. The macroscopical elements are levels of urbanization and non-agricultural industries, the growth degree of labor market, the cost of the rural labor's transfer.The third aspect shows that the reason migrant works' wage is defaulted is that they were disadvantaged groups and the order of the market was confused by nonstandard operations.The conclusion of the survey will help the government ameliorate the situation of farmers hunt for work in cities and make sure the stable development of agriculture.
