Design And Implementation Of The SIP-Based Video Conference System

With the development of multimedia technology and communication technology by network, the business of multimedia communication has become a leading element in internet applications. SIP is rather simple, flexible, opening and extendable. As soon as SIP is released, it is cared and supported. Consequently, it is significant to do research on the SIP based multimedia conference technologies.But today most of the SIP based video conference applications have insufficiencies, because different applications should develop same functional part. Using component-oriented thinking divides multimedia conference system into many modules. Each module of video conference application can be developed separately and used in project. By using component-oriented thinking it can optimize program framework and improve efficiency of software development and the maintainability of the video conference application.Paper includes the writer's main work in aspects below:1. Introduce the concept of video conference and both domestic and overseas status of research in this field;2. Introduce architecture of H.323 and SIP protocol, at the same time, compare H.323 with SIP Protocol, analyse advantage of sip. Introduce multimedia real-time protocol over ip network;3. Firstly, analyse sip based model and framework of video conference. Secondly, analyse advantage of sip based and concentrative type conference system. Finally, design the model of conference system and operation signal call flow, and then implement the model;4. Giving a method of implementation which is platform that runs on the sip application server, Divide video conference system into several modules, including conference management server, conference control server, media server and database. Implement core modules of the conference control and conference management;5. The system is tested and analysed, a conclusion is drawn that the availability and rationality of our system is validated.
