The evaluation of the relevant disciplines has turned out to be a vital step regarding both scientific management and developmental quality. Under the situation of the new military revolution, the military medical disciplines appeared the some new problems, so it is the important problem to establish a scientific and practical index system for the evaluation of military medical disciplines in academies in order to realize the appropriate evaluation and effective management and to keep its healthy and continuous development. The present study briefly describes the role of the military medical disciplines in the future wars of Hi-tech in nature as well as the reciprocal requirement by the latter to the former. While analysis is focused on both the requirement for military medical disciplines set by the future Hi-tech wars and the development of military medical disciplines per se, the author has also established an integrated index system most appropriate for scientific management of PLA military medical disciplines under the guidance of assessment theory, incorporated with systematic theory, Delphi method, AHP method and statistical analysis. The system consists of three parts of indices: 5 first-scale indices, 13 second -scale indices and 45 third -scale indices, and its connotation and weight are analysed. It has been actually used to evaluate the military medical disciplines of some PLA military medical academies. The results thus obtained prove the system has good validity, reliability, differentiability, applicability and indicatability. Software of the relevant information management in the light of the Integrated Index System in question is also under development believed to greatly simplify the evaluation process. This study has stepped out for the establishment and application of the index system for the evaluation of military medical discipline in academies and has been fruitful.
