Objective: This is to investigate into the mechanism of the anti-inflammation function of Fu Bo for the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Method: By using the Phenol Glue Method, the wistar big mice were made to have chronic pelvic inflammatory disease as experiment. The experimented big mice were classified into the following different groups: the Fu Bo high dosage instant particles powder group; the low dosage instant particles powder group; the normal control group, the experimental control group and the genealogical Qian Jin instant particles powder control group. After the medication of 20 days on the mice, to observe under the electron microscope the pathologic picture of the mice: using the radio immunoassay to examine respectively the content of Estradiol (E2) and Progesterne (p); the content of Thromboxanes B2 (TXB2) and 6-Keto-Prostaglandin-F1a; the content of serum (IL-2) and Tumor necrosis factor; and the content of (SOD) and MDA. This was meant to observe the different level of sex hormones, the condition of the blood circulation of pelvic cavity, the immune system, and the contents of free radical etc. Result: The experimented big mice created by the phenol glue method basically matched with the clinical pathologic manifestation of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. The group of high dosage of Fu Bo instant particle powder was found to have the hyperemia of pelvic disappeared, little fiber adhesion, no pyocyst and granulation, and the softness of the uterus tissue. There was a discrepancy between the experimental group and the other four groups in the contents of E2 (p<0.05), but no discrepancy among the rest of the groups (p>0.05). The contents of P in the experimental group was lower than the other four groups (p<0.05), and there was no difference among the other four groups (p>0.05). There was no difference in the contents of among all groups (p>0.05). The contents of TXB2 and TXB2/ 6-Keto-PGF1a between the experimental group and the normal group had remarkable difference (p<0.01); there was also huge difference among the Fu Bo high dosage group, the Fu Bo low dosage group, the normal group and the experimental group (p<0.01); the genealogical Qin Jin group and the experimental group also had a difference (P<0.05). The contents of IL-2 in the experimental group was obviously lower than the other four groups (p<0.05), there was no difference among the other four groups (p>0.05). There was a difference in the contents of TNF-a between the experimental group and the other four groups (p<0.05), there was also difference between the normal group and the experimental group; between the Fu Bo low dosage group and the genealogical Qin Jin group; there was no difference between the fu Bo high dosage group and the normal group (p>0.05). There was a remarkable difference in the contents of the SOD between the experimental group and the other four groups; whereas the level of contents between the fu Bo high dosage group and Fu Bo low dosage group was similar, no difference found (p<0.05); there was difference among the Fu Bo high dosage group, fu Bo low dosage group and the genealogical Qin Jin group ((p<0.05); no difference between the genealogical qin Jin group and the normal group (p<0.05). The contents of MDA in the experimental group was obviously higher than the other four groups (P<0.01); Fu Bo high dosage group and the normal group was similar, there was no obvious difference among the four groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: This method is the more successful way of creating the model of the chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. The medicine coordinates the balance in the activation of sex hormones of the chronic pelvic inflammatory disease mice; to reduce the damage of the immunity which in turn to enhance the tolerance of inflammatory to effect the treatment; to reduce the accumulation of fiber tissue; to decrease the chance of the relapse of inflammatory to achieve a treatment goal.
