Tourism Resilience Measurement And In Fluencing Factors Analysis Of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle

As the impact of public health events,natural disasters,terrorist attacks and other events on the tourism system becomes more and more frequent,the tourism system also becomes more and more vulnerable,which hinders the construction of sustainable tourism destinations.Tourism,a pillar industry of China’s national economy,has been hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic,resulting in a downturn in economic development,damage to the ecological environment and many socially related workers in difficulties.With the normalization of the epidemic,the development of tourism is recovering from the freeze,and "resilience",as an important framework for coping with emergencies,has received more attention and research in the tourism field.Tourism resilience is the ability of tourism system to resist,recover,dynamically adapt and innovate when it is hit by various public crises.It has gradually become an important path to promote high-quality and sustainable development of tourism.Building a high level of tourism resilience is the only way to normalize shocks and disturbances,and it also provides a new research idea for the high-quality development of regional tourism.The resilient tourism system is an important driving force for the sustainable development of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.By measuring the resilience level of tourism and exploring the combination form of its influencing factors,it can provide effective measures for the tourism system of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle to cope with the crisis.Therefore,based on the resilience theory,vulnerability theory and adaptive cycle theory,this paper constructs an evaluation index system of tourism resilience from four aspects,namely,Resist,Recovery,Reconstruction,and Innovation,and selects Entropy-TOPSIS method to comprehensively measure the level of tourism resilience from 2010 to 2020.Secondly,with tourism resilience as the result variable and government support level,transportation accessibility level,tourism industry level,technological innovation level,tourist consumption level and tourism service level as the condition variable,Through the set Analysis of the fuzzy-set Qualitative analysis(fs QCA)method,the set relationship between the configuration of factors and the result is found,and the configuration path that produces the high(or low)level of tourism resilience is explored in depth.This paper draws the following main conclusions:(1)From 2010 to 2019,the tourism resilience level of each area in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle showed a trend of fluctuation,and the overall tourism resilience level was low.From the perspective of each subsystem,the resilience of tourism from 2010 to 2019 is: Recovery > Innovation > Resist > Reconstruction.The Resist shows a growth trend,the Recovery and Innovation show a trend of fluctuation and change,and the overall fluctuation of Reconstruction is not obvious,showing a relatively stable development trend.From the perspective of spatial differentiation pattern,both the overall system and each subsystem show a stable dual-core pattern,with insufficient equilibrium in the whole region,and there is a large gap in the level of tourism resilience among regions.(2)Under the impact of COVID-19 in 2020,the tourism resilience level of 81.25% of the regions in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle in 2020 is higher than that in 2019,showing a significant upward trend.The Resist,Reconstruction and Innovation show varying degrees of rise in most regions,while the Recovery of the whole region shows a downward trend.(3)The Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle in 2020 is the result of the aggregation of multiple factors,and its high-level tourism resilience presents four configuration results,and low-level tourism resilience presents five configuration results.Based on the above analysis,the following countermeasures are proposed: pay attention to the improvement of tourism resilience level in Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle,and improve the Resist,Recovery,Reconstruction,and Innovation.Based on the overall development of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle,the diffusion effect of core cities should be strengthened through dual-core guidance to promote the coordinated improvement of tourism resilience in Chengdu-Chongqing region.Aiming at the key factors affecting the resilience of tourism,we should implement the development strategy of combination improvement,emphasize differentiated development,adapt measures to local conditions,and make joint efforts on both the supply side and the demand side of tourism.
