Analysis Of Spatio-Temporal Differences Of County Economic Strength In Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle

In October 2021,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council printed and distributed the Outline of the Plan for the Development in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle(the "Plan"),requiring all regions and departments to earnestly implement the Plan,promote the development of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,and build an inland strategic highland for opening up.County economy is not only the basic unit of national economy,but also the foundation of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle construction.In Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,the total amount of county economy exceeds 51%,and the proportion of population exceeds 65%.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to analyze the spatio-temporal differences of county economic strength in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.This paper takes 95 counties of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle as the research object,using 18 economic indicators from 1999 to 2020,and analyzes the economic strength and spatio-temporal differences by means of factor analysis and exploratory spatial data analysis method.Firstly,the paper uses GDP to analyze the spatio-temporal differences of the economic strength of the counties in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,and then constructs the comprehensive index system of county economic strength.Using factor analysis to analyze spatial-temporal differences in three dimensions: "overall Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle","among the five economic zones" and "within the five economic zones".Then,combined with spatial geographic data,Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis is used to analyze the spatial correlation pattern of economic strength of counties in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle,further compared with the Yangtze River Delta central district.Finally,in view of the research conclusion,this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions on coordinated development of county economy in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.Through research,it is found that counties under the jurisdiction of Chongqing and Chengdu dual nuclei rank high,and counties under the jurisdiction of Leshan,Meishan and Ya’an rank low.From the perspective of economic zones,the overall economic strength of the two economic zones under the jurisdiction of Chongqing is better than that of the three economic zones under the jurisdiction of Sichuan,and the economic strength of counties within the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone is very unbalanced.On the whole,counties with the stronger(weaker)economic strength are easier to gather together,and the trend is more and more significant.Counties surrounding the main urban area of Chengdu and within the new area of Chongqing city with strong economic strength tend to be concentrated in space,and counties with weak economic strength concentrate in the southern part of the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone and Southern Sichuan Economic Zone.Compared with the central area of the Yangtze River Delta,the urban agglomeration sub-system within the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle has great room for quality and quantity improvement.Based on the above research,this paper puts forward the following countermeasures and suggestions: deepen the role of dual nuclear radiation to provide opportunities for surrounding counties;encourage and strengthen the cooperation of counties to give play to the comparative advantages of counties;select characteristic counties according to local conditions to create new growth poles of county economy;improve the coordination mechanism of county economy to make overall planning of county economy development;strengthen regional linkage development to create a platform for cooperation and joint construction of parks.
