Study On The Problems And Countermeasures Of The Development Of Sorghum Specialized Cooperatives In Jiangyang District,Luzhou

Industry takes precedence in the revitalization of the countryside.As a mutual economic organization,farmers’ professional cooperatives are the leaders of rural industrial development and the driving force of rural revitalization.A large number of theoretical research results show that vigorously developing farmers’ professional cooperatives can integrate resources,extend the value chain,increase farmers’ income,enhance the level of agricultural industry development and improve the comprehensive efficiency of agricultural operation.However,in the process of actual operation,some farmers’ professional cooperatives still have some problems,such as: the internal system is not sound,the level of management personnel is not high,and the council and supervisory board are formal,which affect and restrict the benign development of cooperatives,and there is a certain gap with the theoretical research results.As a strong modern agricultural industry base county,Jiang Yang District,Luzhou City,actively cultivates and strengthens new agricultural business entities to drive the development of agricultural production in the surrounding area,taking the path of industrial development rich in local characteristics.The sorghum industry is one of the three major agricultural industries in Jiang Yang District,and by vigorously developing sorghum professional cooperatives,the sorghum industry can be promoted on a larger scale and to order,thus accelerating the modernisation of the sorghum industry.In this paper,a combination of literature research,fieldwork and descriptive statistical analysis was used to investigate typical sorghum cooperatives in Jiangyang District,and to describe and summarise the current state of development of the sorghum industry and sorghum cooperatives in Jiangyang District.The results of the survey and data analysis show that sorghum professional cooperatives play an important role in driving members and growers to increase their income;promoting uniform technical protocols for the sorghum industry;promoting new technologies and varieties of sorghum;developing contract farming and precise docking of production and marketing;and activating production factors to promote the development of the sorghum industry.However,there are still a small number of cooperatives,small scale;shortage of production factors;management system is not standardized;carrier role is limited,over-reliance on enterprises.This paper proposes four recommendations to promote the development of sorghum cooperatives in Jiangyang District,to help increase the productivity and efficiency of the sorghum industry in Jiangyang District,and to provide lessons for other industrial cooperatives and other regional sorghum professional cooperatives.The study also provides lessons for the development of other industrial cooperatives and other regional sorghum cooperatives.
