Research On The Influencing Mechanism Of Digitalization Level On The Operating Performance Of Agricultural Listed Enterprises

In the era of digital economy,traditional agricultural and forestry operators are actively seeking digital transformation to improve their business performance.In order to improve the business performance of listed agricultural and forestry enterprises in China,based on the data of listed agricultural and forestry enterprises in China from 2011 to 2020,the panel data regression model and the second-order least squares method are used to empirically analyze the impact of digital level on the business performance of listed agricultural and forestry enterprises.The results showed that:(1)digitization significantly improved the operational performance of agriculture and forestry enterprises.Robustness test was conducted through panel data regression model,instrumental variables,replacement of explained variables and explanatory variable indicators,etc.,and the conclusions all showed that digitalization level significantly improved enterprise business performance.(2)In terms of impact mechanism,digitalization can promote the improvement of enterprise business performance by improving internal governance capabilities and cost effects.Enterprise digitalization can accelerate the flow of internal information,reduce information asymmetry,and optimize the utilization efficiency of resources in the process of enterprise operation due to the continuous improvement of internal control level,thereby improving enterprise business performance.(3)The impact of digitalization on the business performance of agricultural and forestry enterprises has scale differentiation and regional differentiation.Affected by its economic development,the digital level has a significantly stronger effect on the business performance of agricultural and forestry enterprises in the eastern region than that of agricultural and forestry enterprises in the central and western regions.Due to the different scales of enterprises,their business modes,organizational structures and resource elements,the effect of digitalization on the business performance of small-scale agricultural and forestry enterprises is significantly stronger than that of large-scale agricultural and forestry enterprises.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: first,agricultural and forestry enterprises should improve the design of internal digital transformation systems;Second,agricultural and forestry enterprises should actively build or use existing digital information sharing platforms;Third,government functional departments should improve the support policy system for the digital transformation of agricultural and forestry enterprises.
