Research On The Changes Of Farmers' Livelihoods And Happiness Effects Of Rural Tourism Developmen

The interaction between the rural tourism and farmer’s livelihood capital makes it possible to explore the impact of livelihood change on the farmer’s well-being in tourist destinations.Taking Dianzi Nonggu Town as the research area,this paper analyzes the process and causes about the changes of local farmer’s livelihoods by some interviews and questionnaires.Considering that the improvement of farmer’s well-being is the result of multiple types of livelihood capital,fs QCA is used on it to further explore the combination effect of multiple livelihood capital on farmer’s well-being during rural tourism.The four configurations confirmed the nonlinear causal mechanism between the outcome and causal conditions and they can improve the well-being of farmer’s.The main research conclusions are as follows:Firstly,through interviews and the weight of farmer’s livelihood capital,it can be seen that the total value of farmer’s livelihood capital has increased.Meanwhile,the composition of livelihood capital is more reasonable and its proportion has become more balanced.The development of rural tourism has gradually changed the livelihoods of local farmers from traditional farming to multiple livelihood modes such as planting,farmhouse entertainment and tourism work.The transformation of livelihoods has improved the livelihood level of farmers and thus achieved economic income increase.Secondly,by using the fs QCA,the analysis shows that:(1)the single conditional variable does not necessarily produce results,nor does it serves as a sufficient condition to improve farmer’s well-being.(2)The improvement of farmer’s well-being is the result of the combination of various livelihood capital.(3)The five types of livelihood capital are interdependent,but have significantly differences in four configurations.Among them,human capital and physical capital have the most significant impact on well-being.(4)Human capital has promoting or hindering promoting effect in different configurations,which indicates that the same factor may be an advantage or a disadvantage under different combinations.Finally,according to the results,the paper puts forward the measures to improve the well-being of rural tourism destination farmer’s:(1)Establish the precise mechanism of knowledge and skill improvement;(2)Construct a multilevel social network of farmer’s participation;(3)Improve the financial support service system.
