Research On The Relationship Between Land Consolidation,Rural Tourism And Sustainable Livelihoods Of Farmers

As the state attaches importance to the rejuvenation of rural areas,the livelihood of peasants has attracted more attention.Rural tourism as an important livelihood choice has become one of the major projects of poverty alleviation in our country.As the basic resources for tourism development,the recreational value of rural land has also received more attention.However,as rural tourism and land consolidation being a kind of external interference in the process of development,the relatively stable social ecosystem in rural areas has been broken,and even the development of tourism activities will inevitably influence rural land construction.Therefore,rural land utilization for tourism has become an inevitable problem.What role does rural land consolidation play in the development of rural tourism?What impact will land use change and tourism development have on the livelihood of farmers?All those are needed studied in depth,because few studies have explored the relationship between them.In view of that,based on the framework of sustainable livelihood analysis,this paper explores the intrinsic mechanism of land consolidation and rural tourism development to the sustainable livelihood of farmers,with a view to further improving tourism poverty alleviation and sustainable development of farmers'livelihood.Based on the literature and survey results,this study constructs conceptual models of land consolidation,rural tourism,livelihood strategies and livelihood outcomes.Take typical rural tourism destination with land consolidation Guanshan and guangming village of Hunan province as study case sites,the hypothetical relationship between the variables is tested by structural equation model,and the sustainability of rural livelihoods is also evaluated.The results are as follows:(1)The sustainable livelihood of farmers in the study area is relatively low,the lack of support for government policies,inadequate funding for support,limited development capacity for rural households,and low levels of participation;(2)Land consolidation has a significant positive impact on rural tourism;(3)Human capital,social capital,physical capital,financial capital and natural capital all have a significant positive impact on farmers' livelihood strategy,among which social capital is especially important(?=0.85);(4)Land consolidation has a direct impact on the living standard and employment of farmers,it can affect the utilization of resources and the ability to resist disasters through livelihood strategies;(5)The livelihood strategies of households plays a.positive role in realizing the sustainable employment,increasing income and protecting the land resources of rural households.
