Abstract/Summary:
Diplomatic relations between China and Kazakhstan have been developing progressively for 30 years, during this period of time both sides have made excellent growth and created many common projects. One of China’s most ambitious projects is the development of the Belt and Road Initiative, the creation of which was presented by Chinese President Xi Jinping in2013.This thesis examines the development of diplomatic relations between the two states within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. The purpose of this work is to explore the specifics of the development of complex diplomatic relations between these countries,as well as the development of common projects within the Belt and Road. The thesis also examines the role of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the implementation and development of common projects within the framework of the Silk Road.During the 10 years of cooperation within the framework of the BRI,there have been tremendous changes, where there have been both ups and downs in trade and economic terms. The main goal of the recent agreements between our states is the development of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the promotion of the 《Nurly Zhol》 program. The “Nurly Zhol” program has created an effective transport and logistics infrastructure aimed at developing the country’s export and transit capabilities. In this case,it should be noted that of all the Central Asian states cooperating with the People’s Republic of China within the framework of the Initiative, only Kazakhstan has the opportunity to travel by transit, which is a good advantage for Kazakhstan in diplomatic cooperation with China. The case study of this work is the development of a common project of China and Kazakhstan within the framework of the BRI development and development of the "Khorgos Dry Port".“KTZE-Khorgos Gateway” is the largest Dry port in Central Asia, which provides a full range of services in the field of cargo handling, storage and transshipment from China to Kazakhstan, the countries of the European Union,Central Asia, the Persian Gulf, the Caspian region, etc. Also,in my study, topical issues such as 《COVID-2019》 were considered and studied, which contributed to the slow development of common projects within the Belt and Road. This reserarch will analyze the impact and consequences of coronavirus on the development of common projects in China and Kazakhstan,as well as on new challenges of BRI projects.
