Research On Regional Economic Cooperation Between China And Russia Under The “Belt And Road Initiative” Initiative

In "The Belt and Road”initiative,regional economic cooperation set off a new round of development climax in the global scope,it has become an important feature of the world economic development and a new driving force of economic globalization.However,compared with Europe and North America,regional economic cooperation in Northeast Asia is still lagging behind,especially in China,Russia and Mongolia.By now,it has become the comparatively slow region of the development of the regional economic integration and not yet established a unified and institutionalized regional economic organization.Therefore,in this context,the establishment of the Regional Economic Cooperation between China,Russia and Mongolia has carried not only realistic economic significance but also great strategic importance.The research object of this paper is the trade effect of the establishment of the Regional Economic Cooperation between China,Russia and Mongolia.The main issues to be addressed are just as follows:1.What are the competitive advantages of China,Russia and Mongolia?2.Whether they have the economic basis for establishing the Regional Economic Cooperation?3.What are the changes of trade effect after the Regional Economic Cooperation between them?4.What kind of policies should China adopt in the Regional Economic Cooperation between China,Russia and Mongolia?On the basis of the theoretical framework and the economic base of the research,this paper does the empirical research on the effect of trade of the Regional Economic Cooperation Between China,Russia and Mongolia.This article is divided into five parts:The first chapter is introduction.It describes the background and significance of the research,the commentary of literature,the main research contents and framework,and illustrates the innovations and shortcomings of the article.The second chapter is the research foundation of regional economic cooperation theory.It introduces what regional economic cooperation is,what forms it has,and compares the characteristics of different forms of cooperation and elaborates the static and dynamic effects of regional economic cooperation.The third chapter analyzes the present situation,complementarity and competitiveness of the three countries’ economic and trade cooperation.It studies the current trade situation of China,Russia and Mongolia and their bilateral trade structure,calculates the Revealed Comparative Advantage Index of all sectors of them,and summarizes their trade characteristics.In the fourth chapter,GTAP model is used to simulate and analyze the impact on different levels of tariffs and non-tariff barriers on the basis of cross-border economic cooperation among the three countries.Further exploration is conducted to seek for what changes in GDP,EV,TOT and other aspects that regional economic collaboration would bring to the three parties.The fifth chapter puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote regional economic cooperation between three parties.Starting from the policy,trade and industry,analyzes the current policies and measures that China should take in to promote the process of regional economic cooperation between China,Russia and Mongolia.
