Overall, the construction of digital economy infrastructure plays a stable and positive role in promoting digital economy competitiveness under the dual space-time effect. The impact of digital economy infrastructure construction on digital economy competitiveness varies among different regions and income levels.Furthermore, the positive promoting effect of hard infrastructure construction of digital economy is higher than that of soft infrastructure construction of digital economy in promoting the competitiveness of the target country’s digital economy. These findings provide important insights into the relationship between digital economy infrastructure construction and digital economy competitiveness in countries along the Belt and Road and can help policymakers design effective strategies for promoting digital infrastructure development and improving competitiveness in the digital economy. |
