| After China’s accession to the WTO,it embedded the division of labor in the global forestry industry value chain based on low factor cost, and then realized the explosive growth of export scale in a short time. All sectors of society still worry about the extensive growth of China’s wood forest products export. Therefore,it is necessary to decompose the export trade into expansion margin, quantity margin and price margin based on the heterogeneous trade model of firms,so as to describe the evolution pattern of China’s wood forest products export growth and conduct in-depth analysis of the growth drivers of wood forest products export.Logistics, known as the third profit source,is an important cost source in the process of international trade. At the same time, wood forest products have the logistics characteristics of large volume and low unit value, which may have a more obvious impact. In view of this,it is of certain practical significance to study the impact of logistics performance of China and trading partner countries on the triplex margin of wood forest products export.Based on the HS6 global bilateral trade data of wood forest products in CEPII-BACI database and the country logistics performance index released by the World Bank, this paper uses panel fixed effect model to analyze the influence of bilateral logistics performance between China and the "One Belt and One Road" countries on the three-way margin of wood forest products export from 2010 to 2018.The empirical results show that the growth of China’s wood forest products export trade is mainly driven by quantity margin and price margin, and the former contributes more, while the contribution of expanding margin is not obvious.China’s logistics performance can significantly improve the export expansion margin, quantity margin and price margin of wood forest products; The effect of logistics performance on export price margin of the partner country is U-shaped.The improvement of logistics performance can alleviate the impeding effect of spatial distance between bilateral trading countries on the growth of export trade. This study reveals the export growth pattern of China’s wood forest products to a certain extent,as well as the impact of logistics performance on the export types, export quantities, export prices and countries with different spatial distances and logistics performance levels of China’s wood forest products. It is helpful for the government departments to formulate the“going out”strategy of China’s wood forest products in a more targeted way under the background of“One Belt and One Road”Initiative and different logistics performance development levels,so as to better guide the choice of export strategy of enterprises. |
