| As a new logistics transportation channel in China, the New Western Land-Sea Corridor is an important support for the realization of the “the Belt and Road”construction and brings opportunities for the development of the western region of China. The purpose of this thesis is to study the logistics efficiency of the node cities along New Western Land-Sea Corridor, and explore ways to improve the logistics efficiency of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor. This article selects 21 node cities along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor as the research object, and selects four investment indicators from three perspectives of human, material, and capital investment;Select three output indicators from the perspective of scale and economic output, and construct an input-output index evaluation system for logistics efficiency.Using DEA-BCC and DEA-Malmquist models, static and dynamic evaluation and analysis were conducted on the logistics efficiency of 21 node cities along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor in the western region from 2011 to 2020.Further,the Tobit regression model was used to conduct regression analysis on the factors affecting the logistics efficiency of node cities along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor region. The research results show that:(1)From 2011 to 2020,the average logistics efficiency of the node cities along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor was 0.754,which made the overall comprehensive logistics efficiency relatively ineffective and needed further improvement. The overall total factor productivity of the logistics industry decreased by 0.8% from 2011 to 2020,mainly affected by changes in technological progress. The sharp decline in total factor productivity between 2019 and 2020 is probably related to the global pandemic of novel coronavirus.(2)There are significant differences in logistics efficiency and total factor productivity among cities.Fang Chenggang City,Hohhot City, and Qinzhou City have higher logistics efficiency levels than other cities, while Yinchuan City and Liuzhou City have relatively low logistics efficiency.(3)The level of economic development, investment in science and technology, degree of informatization, degree of opening up to the outside world, level of urbanization, and educational expenditure have a significant positive impact on the logistics efficiency of node cities along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.Logistics transportation intensity has a significant negative impact on logistics efficiency. The research shows that the logistics efficiency of the node cities along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor needs to be further improved, and the logistics development among various cities is uneven. The lack of logistics efficiency in some cities restricts the development of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor. Finally, this article proposes suggestions for improving the logistics efficiency of the node cities along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor t,namely, improving logistics efficiency through promoting clear urban planning, improving information level, increasing scientific research investment, strengthening talent cultivation, improving economic level, deepening external cooperation, and improving infrastructure. |
