It has become an important development strategy for countries around the world to promote the continuous optimization and development of digital economy.The report also mentioned the need to accelerate the development of digital economy,coordinate industrial restructuring,and focus on improving total factor productivity.In the new era,it is of great significance to further study the digital economy to promote the total factor productivity with the upgrading of industrial structure as the intermediary,so as to constantly improve the macro-control policy.Based on the analysis of how the development of digital economy affects the total factor productivity based on the intermediary effect of industrial structure upgrading,based on the inter-provincial panel data of 30 provinces,cities and autonomous regions(except Tibet,Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan)from 2011 to2020,through a total of 16 indicators from three aspects of digital economy infrastructure,digital development level and digital innovation ability,The comprehensive development level of digital economy obtained by entropy method is used to measure the upgrading level of industrial structure from the four aspects of the overall industrial structure,employment structure,industrial structure rationalization and industrial structure upgrading.The DEA model is used to measure the total factor productivity.After analyzing the status quo of the three comprehensive indicators of digital economy development level,industrial structure upgrading level and total factor productivity,taking the proportion of science and technology expenditure,industrialization level and human capital as control variables,the intermediary effect model is used to verify the calculated three variables of digital economy comprehensive development index,industrial structure upgrading index and total factor productivity.Verify the research on the impact of digital economy on total factor productivity based on the intermediary effect of industrial structure upgrading.The results show that: first,the development of digital economy can promote the improvement of total factor productivity;second,the development of digital economy can promote the upgrading of industrial structure.The upgrading of tertiary industry structure can also promote the improvement of total factor productivity.Fourth,digital economy can promote the improvement of total factor productivity through part of the intermediary effect of industrial structure upgrading.Fifth,compared with the central and western regions,the development level of digital economy and industrial structure upgrading level of the eastern region is higher,but the total factor productivity of the eastern region is lower than that of the central and western regions.Sixth,at the national level,digital economy promotes the improvement of total factor productivity through the intermediary effect of industrial structure upgrading.In the eastern,central and western regions,digital economy also promotes the improvement of total factor productivity through the intermediary effect of industrial structure upgrading,and the digital economy in the eastern region has the most obvious promoting effect on total factor productivity.Seventh,it can be seen from the control variables that the proportion of science and technology expenditure,level of industrialization,human capital and other conventional factors still affect the total factor productivity,and the traditional factors still have a strong explanatory power to promote the improvement of total factor productivity.This conclusion indicates that in order to promote the improvement of total factor productivity,on the one hand,it is necessary to vigorously develop the digital economy and promote the upgrading of industrial structure.At the same time,it is necessary to increase the proportion of science and technology expenditure,increase R&D investment,promote scientific and technological innovation,improve the quality of labor supply and enhance the level of industrialization development. |
