Under the background of the construction of "Digital China",Shandong Province is also moving forward in the construction of "digital strong province" with a good momentum of development.However,different from the development of digital economy,agriculture,as a traditional industry,is obviously insufficient.Agricultural total factor productivity,a key indicator,can reflect the quality and benefits of agricultural development.Therefore,in order to promote the improvement of agricultural economic benefits in Shandong Province,it is particularly important to analyze the impact of the development of digital economy on the agricultural total factor productivity of Shandong Province at the time of the transformation of old and new driving forces.However,the existing literature has not matured the research paradigm of the impact of digital economy on agricultural development.Lack of scientific systematic research.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the influence of the development of digital economy on the agricultural total factor productivity of Shandong Province in exploring the incentive factors of agricultural economic development and realizing the agricultural modernization enabled by digital economy.In order to analyze the mechanism of digital economy on agricultural total factor productivity,this paper will first review the existing literature and explain the mechanism of digital economy development on agricultural total factor productivity.Secondly,the development level of digital economy and agricultural total factor productivity index of Shandong Province were calculated to analyze the development status of digital economy and agricultural total factor productivity of Shandong Province.Thirdly,based on the data of 16 prefecture-level cities in Shandong Province from 2011 to 2020,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of digital economy development on agricultural total factor productivity in Shandong province with the help of intermediary effect model,adjustment effect model and spatial econometric model,and further tests the mechanism of digital economy development on agricultural total factor productivity in Shandong Province.Finally,combined with the main conclusions of the paper,the corresponding policy suggestions are put forward.The main conclusions include :(1)The spatial and temporal differences between urban digital economy and agricultural total factor productivity are obvious in Shandong Province.(2)The development of digital economy can promote the agricultural total factor productivity in Shandong Province,and there are regional differences in the significance of the effect.(3)The development of digital economy can play a siphon effect,promote talent agglomeration,improve regional human capital level,make up for regional labor matching efficiency,and improve agricultural total factor productivity.(4)The development of digital economy can promote regional access to cutting-edge technological information and innovation factors,promote regional agricultural production technology innovation,promote the improvement of agricultural technology level,and improve regional agricultural total factor productivity.(5)High-end agricultural infrastructure brought by digital economy needs to be matched by high-level financial services,which can reduce production risks,promote agricultural technological change and improve agricultural total factor productivity.(6)The spillover of digital economy space can expand the beneficial areas of digital economy,save more social resources,and improve the enthusiasm of digital technology innovation.In both aspects,the spillover of digital economy space can create high profits.On the basis of the above conclusions,the following suggestions are put forward:first,strengthen the construction of digital infrastructure;Second,promote the development of digital technology innovation;Third,optimize human capital structure;Fourth,promote the development of rural digital finance;Fifth,we need to strengthen regional planning and coordination.
