Water resources are the basis for the development and continuation of human society.Against the background of accelerated industrialisation,the problem of water pollution has become more and more serious,providing opportunities for the development of the environmental science industry,and the influx of similar enterprises in the market has continued to increase,intensifying the competition among environmental science enterprises.Talent,as the basis of corporate innovation,has an irreplaceable role in solving corporate development challenges.However,in the environmental science industry,most companies do not pay attention to the optimisation of performance management,resulting in a continuous increase in staff turnover,which affects the sustainable development of the company.Therefore,this paper conducts a study on performance management in environmental science enterprises.In the process of writing this paper,literature research was mainly used to organize the data and scholars’ research.,Questionnaire survey was used to distribute questionnaires to employees and the analytic hierarchy process was used to select performance management indicators.The main contents of the study are as follows:on the basis of summarizing the basic situation and the current situation of human resource management in BSY Environmental Science Enterprise,the views of employees of BSY Environmental Science Enterprise on the existing performance management were obtained by issuing questionnaires,and the shortcomings were found,mainly in the unscientific performance appraisal cycle,unreasonable design of performance appraisal indicators,lack of comprehensiveness in the purpose of performance appraisal,and lack of communication in the process of performance management four aspects;proposed the significance,principles and ideas of the performance management based on the Balanced Scorecard BSY Environmental Science Enterprise,and designed performance indicators from four dimensions:finance(4 indicators),customers(4 indicators),internal processes(7 indicators),learning and growth(4 indicators)according to the company’s strategic plan,strategic objectives and strategic map,and used the hierarchical analysis method to weight the 19 performance indicators The weighting of the 19 performance indicators was calculated using hierarchical analysis,and the four steps of performance management implementation were sorted out.Finally,specific safeguards are proposed in five areas:organisation and personnel,system construction,corporate culture,information technology and corporate finance.The study optimises the performance management system of BSY Environmental Sciences under the balanced scorecard model,and proposes a performance management model that is more in line with the development of the company,which can further improve the human resource management level of the company,help the company achieve its overall development strategy,and provide some reference for the optimisation of the performance management system of other companies in the industry.
