In the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization stage,Guizhou Province, based on the resource advantages of various regions, develops 12 characteristic advantageous industries such as tea, chili peppers, edible mushrooms, and traditional Chinese medicine.By developing "one county, one industry",the county economy is promoted, emphasizing the high-quality development of the entire industrial chain of rural characteristic industries. This article is based on field research to study the impact of farmers’ participation in rural industrial development on their income growth. This article first systematically reviews and summarizes relevant literature on farmers’ participation in industrial development, selects representative cases to deconstruct the respective functions and collaborative mechanisms of government and market entities in the operation of industrial projects, and analyzes how industrial projects can promote farmers’ income increase and promote sustainable industrial development through effective interest linkage mechanisms;Secondly, according to the first-hand data obtained from the research in Guizhou, the OLS model, grouping regression, quantile regression and other methods are used to analyze the impact of farmers’ participation in industrial development on their income level and income structure, and further test the impact of different types of farmers’ participation in industrial development, farmers’ industrial participation methods and different industrial driving entities on their income increase. The research conclusions of this article are as follows:(1)Continuously improving the marketization, standardization, scale, and branding level of industrial development in Guizhou Province is conducive to promoting the construction of a modern agricultural management system.(2)The case study shows that the combination of "promising government" and "effective market" promotes the implementation of industrial projects and the willingness of farmers to participate in industrial development, which is conducive to increasing farmers’ income and sustainable development of local characteristic industries.(3)Empirical analysis shows that farmers’ participation in industrial development can significantly improve their household income level, and has a greater income increase effect on registered farmers, non relocated farmers, and low-and-middle income farmers; The participation of farmers in industrial development can significantly increase their proportion of operating income and property income, while reducing the proportion of wage income; In different ways of industry participation, the income increase effect of participating in the development of industries within the county is greater than that of self employment development industries. In the selection of self employment development industries, the income increase effect of developing breeding and breeding industries is greater than that of non agricultural household operations.Among the driving entities participating in the development of industries within the county, cooperatives have the best driving effect, followed by leading enterprises and industrial bases.Based on the research findings and identified issues, this article proposes three policy recommendations: firstly, promote the integration of rural primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, extend the industrial chain and value chain, and cultivate new models and formats of industrial integration;Secondly, continuously adjust the functional positioning of the government and market entities in the development of rural industries, and enhance their driving capacity; The third is to improve the incentive compatible interest linkage mechanism and enhance the attractiveness of rural industries to farmers.
