Research On The Development Of Digital Economy And The Willingness Of Migrant Workers To Become Citizens

At present,thanks to the rapid development of the Internet,information and communication technologies,the digital economy has become one of the new drivers of economic growth,injecting new vitality into the global economy,and governments around the world regard the digital economy as a new strategic development point.Digital economy has a strong penetration,it can realize the quick transaction of goods through the network platform,can greatly promote the upgrading of consumption structure,stimulate the vitality of social economy.In addition,the digital economy is highly growth-oriented and can be deployed more easily and widely at relatively low cost to achieve rapid social and economic growth and provide more effective and economical solutions for social and economic development.The development of digital economy has given birth to new modes of production,industrial forms and business models,which will have a profound impact on the labor force.In our country,peasant workers as a force cannot be ignored,and its role in economic society also cannot be ignored.In the context of the new urbanization vigorously promoted by the state,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to explore the influence of the development of digital economy on the citizenization intention of migrant workers and its mechanism for promoting the process of new urbanization.This thesis takes the influence of digital economy on the citizenization intention of migrant workers as the main line.First of all,based on the summary of the relevant literature on digital economy and the citizenization intention of migrant workers,this thesis analyzes the mechanism of digital economy on the citizenization intention of migrant workers from the theoretical level,including the two transmission paths of improving migrant workers’ wage income and alleviating migrant workers’ excessive labor.Secondly,by reference to the existing literature,the digital economy development indicators of 30 provinces and cities were constructed and calculated,and the empirical analysis was carried out according to the dynamic monitoring survey data of China’s floating population(CMDS).At the same time,the influence of digital economy on the citizenization intention of migrant workers was explored by combining the robustness test and heterogeneity analysis,and the transmission mechanism was verified by the intermediary effect model.The findings are as follows: First,digital economy has a significant positive impact on the citizenization intention of migrant workers.Second,digital economy has a positive impact on the improvement of migrant workers’ wages and income and the alleviation of migrant workers’ excessive labor,and these two paths have a positive and significant effect on the citizenization intention of migrant workers respectively.Third,the digital economy has significant heterogeneity on the citizenization intentions of different groups of migrant workers,which is mainly reflected in the greater impact of the digital economy on the citizenization intentions of highly educated,"new generation",women and migrant workers flowing in counties.Finally,some policy suggestions are put forward based on the research findings,including adopting various measures to promote the development of digital economy;The government takes the lead in training migrant workers to improve their human capital;Strengthening support for information-based education in rural areas;Accelerate the development of new business forms of digital economy in counties;Strengthen the government’s legal supervision over the digital economy.
